It's so unfortunate it has ended this way. But I have made my mind up and I will no longer go back to work for this guy. I refuse to work for someone that doesnt treat me with respect.
Now to start advertising for myself.

If you guys seen the messages I got from him. After 3 years of bending over and working my ass off for this guy it would make anyone quit. I stayed in doing the best I can everyday and to be treated the way I did. I've come to realize no one should ever be treated like this. So best thing for me is to do it for myself. One customer at a time.

Good luck Matt, from what you have posted , you definitely made the right move. You ever thought about opening your own business? Maybe start at part time , then when it blossoms hit it full time . You sound like you would be a great person to do business with, honest, on time , no bull..

Best of luck in your new venture! Never ceases to amaze me that some people think because they might happen to sign your paycheck that how they treat you or speak to you is not relevant. Sounds like your former boss is a real asshat.

Best of luck Matt. Starting out will be hard, but in time you will be glad you quit working for somebody who didn't respect you. What areas will you cover? Word of mouth is the best advertising .

Mostly central jersey. If its further out price will go up. But I've always been fair on prices. Me and my bro already have several accounts. Now to go out and grind to find more accounts. I specialize in fleet vehicles. But can do pretty much anything that has 4 wheels.

We already were approved by the state for our LLC. Just need new cards made.
It went from sureset autoglass to shoreset autoglass. But still using the cards we have now till the new ones are made.

And my brother is a full time electrician so he does generators and electrical maintenance. So its essentially two businesses in one.

Good luck Matt! You will be fine! Sounds like to me your old boss is headed for a fall if he doesn't get things under control.

Thanks! It was great. Dinner out with the folks dressed-up as only their generation knows how! :) (and me in jeans...). Dad had his manhattan and mom just smiles and asks what she ordered a few dozen times. You can ask her what she was doing in 1952 at 14:00 but not what she did five minutes ago. Oh well. Easy to work around. :)
We typically head over and make dinner there every Wednesday but dad has been wanting to "go out" for awhile. It got a little noisy when a large party came in and that is a small issue for dad's hearing so we left and picked-up Dairy Queen on the way home for dessert.
Next up, mom's 94th birthday. I need to find a pony and a clown.......

Good luck. Although there is still stress in running your own business, I think it is a different stress than working for "the man". In a good way. You'll live longer! :)

Glad it turned out well for the dinner Mike. DQ makes for a nice dessert for after dinner. Enjoy all the time you can with them now. Have a safe day.

O without a doubt. Just no extra stresses being bitched at all day from the man.

    Good Luck Matt.
I am in a good mood now.
My son (24) has been trying to get into where I work for a couple years now. Has worked here as summer help while he was in high school. He has applied 3 times and keeps getting passed over. The reason he is getting passed on, cause we already have a father son team,( both slugs).
I happen to talk to a former co worker at the place I worked b4 here. They said they are looking for summer help.He told me get him in here as part time and they will work him into fun time.
Took app in yesterday, interviewed today and got it. He is scared to start at a new place but I went through all the guys I know there. He didn’t know how many of my friends work there. sorry for long post.

The USPS sucks. Bought this header bed rail on Amazon when i traded in my Taco. It was lost in transit and the seller refunded me. Ended up buying one from a different seller. This was delivered the other day from my original seller. They told me to keep it, no charge. It's gotta be worth at least a case of Phillies or camo can Yuengling Lagers. Anyone interested? Send me a PM. I'll be out doing yard work so won't be checking messages until this evening. In Delco but can travel as far as Hamburg tomorrow.

Glad your son got the job Jerry:yes:. It's just shame that because of slugs the good workers suffer. I had that for 42 years and don't miss it a bit.
Hope your good day continues

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.

Ouch, mine always came in a hard tube. That's just ridiculous.

I was rooting around in the basement and I see that I still have the stock front bumper and running boards from my awesome 3rd Gen 4Runner. It was that cool color that was not silver but more champagne maybe? edited: I just recall that it was called "Desert Sand". Wanted to see if any of my PA brethren needed these.
