Trade values are pretty good on Tacoma’s... time for a sporty car?

So I’m thinking about swapping my truck out for a sporty car. My truck is just about paid off and I go through these phases of wanting something more fun to drive almost every 2 months.

Have any of you traded your truck out for a sports car? I’ve yet to REALLY offroad my truck, so I’m kind of unsure if I should take advantage of that before looking into trading in.

That said, this thing is pretty perfect for my uses and hobbies, I just don’t have a whole hell of a lot of fun in it. My motorcycle (when the weathers nice) scratches that itch, but when it’s negative 10 and snowy there is no way for me to scratch it.

Ideally I’m looking at all wheel drive, manual hot hatches. Anyone able to comment?

Or try kdmax 6.0 premium tune . You’ll love driving your taco again. At least that’s what I experienced . Just preventing you from having sellers remorse (been there) .Pm @TWTaco or @trdquoc since you’re in SoCal which is closer .

Subaru Crosstrek or Forester is the only thing I'd trade down for.

All wheel drive can manage trails ( not hardcore offroading ) .. reliable... looks good...
and are fun to drive. I rented several cars for a week at a time and the Subaru beat them
all hands-down. Bought the wife in 2017 a brand new Forester and it's been fabulous. The
Outback has more towing capacity but I liked the Forester better.

If someone on this board sent me $50,000 I'd go buy 2 of the CrossTreks in a heartbeat for my kids.

High-End-Sports cars ( BMW/ Corvette / Porsche ) nice looking bad-azz but very expensive to maintain.

Everyone really likes the Golf R, but I’ve never owned a German car. I was actually leaning towards the STI

As far as hot hatches go, I would get the Elantra turbo with a 6 MT.:burnrubber: Second choice would be the civic R.

If I could find a sporty car that could pull my camper, Id be all over it right now.

The resale on my Pro seems to have gone up 3-5k in the last 6 months. I hope but it is not likely that my Bronco order will get built in time to take advantage of the higher resale value.

I too have that itch, especially with summer nearby but practicality is important for me.

The Golf R would be my choice without question. Drive them both, you might appreciate the more sophisticated interior and understated appearance. I think the Haldex AWD requires more maintenance though. IMO - STI comes across as douche bag, Golf R comes across as douche bag in a suit.

I sold my Corvette to buy my Taco. The Vette was a blast to drive but the wife hated driving in it because it sat so low to the ground and was hard to get in and out of (bad hips!). At this point in my life, I would rather have a truck than a speed machine.

Same here. Got way more for my 2018 SR Tacoma with 42k abused farm miles, than I paid for it in 2018. Not only essentially making it "free," with the additional business write off, they ended up paying me a lot to drive a Tacoma :)

Focus RS. Prices should only go up. Keep it in good condition and unlikely you lose money on that one either.
