More people utilizing the precious public land we have is a good thing :)
That way when some dirtbag politician tries to start selling off chunks of it to his extractive business buddies more people might raise hell about it.
On a side note, if I was in Nevada I’d be foraging for cacti lol

I just causally keep an eye out for mushrooms when out hiking, both on my property and on public land.

Ran into this dude in a full camo tactical getup this week who was hunting mushrooms while I was walking the dogs. He said he wasn't having any luck and it was too dry/too many other people/venus was in retrograde/etc. Didn't have the heart to tell him I found a dozen very nice sized ones within about 30 ft of the trailhead where his truck was parked. Found another half a dozen within a quarter mile right along the trail he had just came from.

Somebody decked out in camo could have been a turkey hunter looking for mushrooms after the mandated 1 pm daily season closing time or been back in there planting something naughty lol or just a sneaky mushroom hunter lol

Early bird gets the worm and in any case, just like you, he prolly wouldn’t let on if he had actually been finding any anyway :bananadead:

Got some cali raised ditch lights. These bad boys are bright!

on another note. Anyone in the WV group had any experience with the OME full lift kit with the Dakars? I’m thinking about that for my truck, but I don’t want it to ride like crap.

I've got the OME Dakars HD, I think they called it Expedition Pack when I bought it in 2012, I had an FWC Camper at the time. I originally bought the kit with OME Nitrocharger Sport shocks and I didn't like them at all, way too stiff. I later changed to Bilstein 6112s and it was night and day difference. I'm still running the Dakars, no complaints with them other than some squeaking. Hope that's some help.

OME 886 Nitrocharger lift, Dakar HD leaf pack, u-bolt flip kit, Bilstein b110 rear shocks, Wheeler's super bumps,18x9 Worx Havoc, 35/12.50/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, ENVE Grille with LED lightbar & raptor leds, ditch lights, nFab tire carrier, 6k hid, tinted tails, AtTheHelm bed stiffeners, SOS Concepts rear bumper, Demello baja front bumper, Smittybuilt 9.5k winch, Mobtown weld-on sliders, AllPro IFS & transm. skid, Mobtown transfer case skid, led fogs, rear-facing led pods on Rago bed brackets, led lights in rear bumper, 54" Bulldog hi-lift jack, Razorback shovel & axe on Quickfist mounts, 2 fire extinguishers, Cobra CB w/Firestik antenna, Tacomapocalypse bed bars w/ Du-Bro 6 fishing rod holders, 4 recovery boards, Yellow wire mod for 4Lo, URD y-pipe, 2.5" custom exhaust w/ Borla muffler, Viair portable air compressor, Kryptek Typhon seat covers, AJT dash knobs, and patches...too many patches
Not a West Virginian, but just over the border:p. I also have the OME lift with 886 front coils, nitrocharger shocks, and Dakar leaf pack. The ride is definitely stiffer, like previous poster said, but I have full steel front bumper with winch too so it wasn't that bad in the front with the added weight. The rear was a bit harsh but evidently it wasn't the springs because switched to Bilstein B110 rear shocks and it smoothed out greatly. Mine is a 2014 second gen. Yours being a 3rd gen, it drives more like a car from the factory. So really anything you do to the suspension to make it more off road worthy will make the ride more like a truck than a car. I guess it depends on what your definition of "ride like crap" is. I'm running 35x12.50x18's and I think mine rides really smooth on pavement.

    Btw, your truck looks great!

Which kit are you talking about @Z2A6X2 ? Buddy in Hawaii had their BP-51 setup and it was really nice. It was definitely a little stiff, but you’ll be hard pressed to find any lift super soft until you weight it down. Anyone in the general build threads going on about how cherry their ride is post life with 33s is reaffirming dropping all that cash :)

Sort of off topic, but just wondering if you guys know any good contractors in the Harpers Ferry/Charlestown/Martinsburg area. We have a house in Harpers Ferry we're planning to move into once we sell our place in NoVa and I'm looking to build a detached garage to work on the ol' Taco.

I wish. They don’t offer the diesel with an mt but that was the only compromise. Very similarly equipped to my Tacoma.
