What did you use to cut off the old brake line bracket?

 

Tin snips work just fine, and just an fyi the new brackets are shorter than the ones @PinStripes got so there will be no need to drill new holes if your using my brackets

Here is the bolt that needed to be replaced (passenger side) with one that was half an inch longer, was a little difficult to get in had to push the muffler back to to get it in for some reason it faces the same direction as the drivers side.Then I used a 1/2 bolt to bolt the bracket on.


Hope this helps with anyone running Old man emu Dakar leaf packs.

 

Got the new versions installed on my own and @EricT trucks. I have a 3rd gen with Deaver U402’s, he’s got a second gen with Icon RXTs- install was easy on both trucks, no replacement bolts needed (see photos)! Just throw em on there! You can see on the second gen with Icons we left more space on the spacer- nice to have that adjustability. Thanks to OP for a simple, functional and good looking product- I highly recommend grabbing a set.

 

Just installed V2 on my Deaver U402 Stage I leaf packs. Huge improvement over V1. Thanks OP for the stellar product. Such a simple solution to such an annoying problem.

Purchased. I had this same thing planned and obviously it's cheaper to do yourself but with the new design and how busy I am... I'm down to support a TW member and save myself some time while I'm at it.

I'm with you... Anyone could make these themselves, but I'll give OP a ton of credit for seeing a need and filling a need. And, his asking price is VERY reasonable for what you're getting.

 

Got my brackets a couple days ago and just now installed onto my icon leaf pack.

 

What leaf packs are those? Weird to see the retainer that far up.

Before the new bracket, the line kept resting/rubbing on that bolt.
This pic is when I originally installed the leafs a couple yrs ago.

 

Ok just looks different than the pic I have of them on the Icon RXT leafs, I think they put them on the other keeper in this pic since it's on the part of the line that has the extra layer of rubber.

 

Yea, looks like it's on the other one. As long as it doesn't rub metal anymore I guess either location works‍
I guess I'll find out soon.. lol

I installed mine (09 with the icon RXTs, stage 2) on the keeper closest to the axle. Made more sense to me that way, angled it slightly to accommodate. Although moving it further would allow more travel I guess? You guys tell me what I should do. And then I will either listen to your advice, or not. Who knows! Such exciting drama!

I have an extra pair with the longer bracket format, anyone want them I gotta ship some stuff in the near future and I'm happy to pass them along since I no longer need them. Or Ryan if you want me to send them to someone PM me.
