Yeah, too much tech, whatever, but give me a motor that gets somewhat reasonable economy. And not a diesel. If I could daily a Tundra I would get one in an instant, believe me. So far, for trucks that can actually tow, the big 3 domestic offerings are 1000 times better than any Toyota/Nissan or... wait? There isn't any others! It's a problem.

Ford has two big weaknesses in my opinion - initial quality and interior fit and finish. The CEO addressed the former recently and said they need to get warranty costs under control. Both of my F-150s had some issues from the factory that showed up right away. They were little things, but it was annoying to deal with for a brand new truck. Fit and finish is miles better than GM, but there are some noises and gap issues that I didn't have on my Tacoma.

I looked at the Tundra but couldn't get over the gas mileage, the fact that Android Auto wasn't an option, that I needed to jump to a Limited to get the stuff an XLT or LT trim domestic would have (and even then many things just weren't available).

I am excited to see the 2022 and would absolutely buy a Tundra if they address the inefficient powertrain and get more of the features that I've gotten used to in my Fords (some were added since I last seriously considered one in 2018).

It's comfortable I agree because it's just like driving a minivan. Also agree it's overpriced. We had an odyssey and liked it, during a recall they put us in an 18' and it was nice but was the same car with a bed and less seats

    Slow in here today!

So dealer got my check today, cashiers check. Won’t give me the car until it clears, they deposited today. What are the odds it’s in there tomorrow morning so I can get it and be back to town before an early mil Mother’s Day dinner?

Low. Most banks hold checks over a certain amount for a few days. My credit union has a graduated system; when I got the check from Toyota for my Tacoma I had like $5k available next day, then $10k on day 3, then the full amount on day 5 or 6

I thought a cashiers check from a bank was as good as cash. Bad news but honest. What I expect from you :thumbsup:

I don't think anything is as good as cash. Hell I don't even think cash is worthwhile anymore.

Cash is a joke imo. They’ve printed enough it’s meaningless. And it doesn’t seem like it’s gonna stop anytime soon:rolleyes:

I should have just got cash from the bank and drove there with it in a bag:anonymous:

I just bought my lease out and asked Toyota financial the best way to get them their money and they insisted I finance (presumably for a kickback) had BOA send them an electronic payment for the balance and haven’t heard shit from them since.

Race to the bottom is accurate. Issues are one thing, but how the company deals with them is what makes or breaks it for me. Reason why I will never own a GM as a daily again.

Other than the 4 banger and single cab you prety much described my 2010. Simple. No frills and bullshit except the aftermarket single DIN radio and amps. Why I love it..

Just bought mine out as well. Not messing with the market. Plus, it has 22k on it...

That is why I went back to a Nissan. As simple as things can be at this rate, 6mt, hell, I can turn my locker on anytime(little wiring mod).

Need some of that water to percolate down South here to Taxachusetts and fill in my lake! I was hoping the almost 2 straight days of rain would help, and it did but I need more!

I don't even keep much of anything at local banks anymore. The interest rate is too pitiful. I have almost all my cash in online savings accounts where the rate is a little less sad.

AmEx actually sent me an offer the other day saying they'd add $100 if I deposit $10k into one of their high yield savings accounts and keep it there for 90 days. I figured why not, free money for no effort on my part.

That's 0.25% annualized gain. 1% in 3 months, so 0.25%/year. For a savings account, your emegency fund, yeah sure go for it if it's easy enough to do, but right now my account w/ ally is 0.5% and that's just to have the money there in general.

Right now would be a good time to rake it one last time if you plan on using the dock area for swimming.
