Shot this guy yesterday after he busted me texting about 12 feet away on the edge of the field. He took off across the field and I dumped him at 40 yards flying. It was a different kind of turkey kill for sure!

it seems like he got partially plucked from the momentum when he hit the corn stubble

Thank you, sir! The G2s/3s are definitely on the tall side! You're in SoCal? I've had good luck hunting with family in the midwest, but its been a challenge filling a tag here in CA since moving here a few years back.

Yes, moved here 5/6 years ago, love the state , hate the politics, i'm in my mid 70's & have hunted and fished my entire life, I still make it back to MN most years for the deer hunt, have thought of a guided hunt here is California, having driven up the coast a couple of times, (that is some beautiful country!), i can't help but think it holds some nice deer.

My first trip to the northern coast after moving here I spotted a few elk only a few hundred yards from the ocean. Didn't even know CA had elk at that point - was pretty cool. I have the same love hate relationship :)

Recently moved out to Utah and wasn’t able to get my resident license in time for the draw but hopefully will pull an antlerless tag this year. but if not the fishing is excellent so I can’t complain

    None...yet
Went in heavy, came out heavier with my last Tacoma. Now I have a new truck...time to break it in appropriately this fall.
