With so many updates (and admittedly not modifying tunes as often as many), my vF Tuner will not do anything it will open, but I am no longer able to login or even open files. It says ecuedit is missing.

    Please advise @OVTune

A screenshot of the error / issue would be helpful. Also, @OVTune cannot connect your account to a forum username without an order number or Zendesk ticket number.

You might consider posting this on the vFtuner.com Forum?

Ironically, as I now try to reproduce the error since I have somehow exceeded the number of devices on which it can be installed, I am unable to reproduce the error.

It's amazing that I step away for just a bit and now it is seemingly bricked.

    Thank you (@tonered and @OVTune)

See zendesk ticket #26609; I also posted at the vF Tuner forum because I thought things here were shifting that direction (based on what Mathew said)...which is updated daily, but I just didn't know I needed to continually update the program so often.

As I digress, I just want assistance.

will check this as soon as I can.

Yes I am trying to get everything migrated to my forum, it's a lot easier. But so many people only ping me on here and refuse to use my forum.

Technical stuff like this though should go to zendesk.

That’s the same error I got when username / password was incorrect

once I put in the right username it signed in and was all good.

for some reason username defaults to the computer account name.. I thought I changed mine when I first registered, but apparently not.

what price do you think is reasonable for a single flash / updates or reflashes when needed?

$300 for a flash seems pretty reasonable compared to a Cobb $1200 bill. Then again, you can sell your Cobb for $1150 when you’re done with it (if you take the tune off your car).

I guess the real comparison is ~$500 for DIY with VFTuner and market tunes vs $300 for ‘help a bro out and do it for me’.

Also, prices have increased for credits, which means increased cost to flash a truck. In the real business world, hikes like that get passed onto the customer just like in this niche community.

Furthermore, when custom tunes are at play, people expect to be compensated for their time. I do. That's why flash services for Coyoza tune cost more than if I'm flashing unedited OVTune

I think the prices that are being charged by the well known tuning group are quite reasonable. Are you talking about others, gouging?

I bought the whole program so I can change my own tunes all day long . These guys that have their trucks tuned of coarse they are gonna be like my truck is amazing but in reality they could be getting a better tune . I learned that every tune on tw isn't for everyone and I worry that most people that get tuned are getting hosed . How are they supposed to know that a tune is right for them or for their truck come on they don't know any better . Again thought most are new tacoma owners that never owned one before and heard word of mouth about tuning their truck omg I want my tacoma tune too it's just a big fad that will die off and us the ones that tune our trucks for specific reason we will still be here . I can't even imagine how many tw accounts have been made so peps can figure out where to get their trucks tuned but hay that's why tw is here .
