Yep. Those are 2k casters. I'm kicking around the idea of putting them on the lift table. There are non swivel casters on one end already. I've been using my crawler bucket to move it up to now. Still deciding if I want to do the mod.

No no I meant on the mower! I've never seen anyone run treaded castors on zero turns.

    Sorry.

That mower was an orphan. As you may have noticed the old deck was shot. The rig was abandoned for 3 years. I MacGyvered those wheels to be able to drive it on the trailer when I bought it last month.

The new tire wheel combos are on their way. I'll install those when they show up.

But yes, during the test run, they did tear up the lawn pretty fierce.

The treaded castors! Just went back through your posts. Looks like it'd be a solid rig.

I was given a 40 inch Toro Titan earlier this week. Pretty sure it just needs a carb and a battery. Should be a solid mower for the park across the street.

I haven't worked on any of those yet. They are kind of a high end consumer version?

Yeah I guess. It has a kohler sv820 on it. Its 12 years old. Customer brought it to us 2 years ago and didn't want to put money in it. Been sitting in our warehouse since. Called the guy up and he said he picked up a Bobcat right after he dropped his toro off lol. Said he mowed with the Bobcat once and the toro left his mind haha. Those new Bobcats are nice.

Working on getting my Cub 3205 ready for paint. It's getting painted to look like a Yanmar Cub Sc2400. I just sent the request off to the decal guy for a quote and rendering of the decals. Below is what the factory 3205 looks like, what I'm painting it like, and my decal request.

The scarifier retainers are bugging me. I know that way is much quicker to move, but I'd swear I heard some complaints of them not holding properly. I may be wrong though. If cheap enough you could fix it regardless. Maybe they are the way to go. For the right price I would worry about it later.

I built my box blade last year and it wasn't cheap, but fun. I saw someone else here say they found a used one for $300, I would have skipped the fun if I could have found that kind of deal.

For 300.00, that’s a deal. The next best one around me is an old rusty one for 800.00.

The guy hasn’t emailed me back yet, so I’m not getting my hopes up yet.

Cruising FBM and came across this bad boy for $300. It's an electric GE Mower. It has 3 Deep Cycle batteries that power it. I thought it was neat, never knew such a thing existed.

I had a (non-working naturally) Elec-Trak years ago, mine was a 6 battery version. Really neat piece of gear, I had the snow blower attachment powered by a giant electric motor along with the front mount deck. The attachments lifted by an electric winch with a strap and plugged in under the side of the hood with a dryer plug.

Funny you say that as I searched FBM for GE mowers and there is another one in MI with a snow blower and 6 batteries. It's listed at $1150 though. For $300 and 10 minutes from my house the one I showed is definitely interesting. Parts have to be completely nonexistent for it though.

The biggest problem with these was the electrical controls, think how often you see lawn equipment sitting outside -- the 1970 tech didn't take kindly to that. A clever guy could swap in modern more efficient and reliable controls.

The steel parts are pretty generic I believe, I want to say that the one I had was a gear manual trans axle with a big electric motor powering it, been 20 years or more, don't quite remember. These frequently have rust issues from the batteries like many electric vehicles. You have probably wasted $300 on other silly stuff -- go get it!!
