Yeah, I have quick releases. Right now my plan is just to use the QR - and I will probably get a hub mount and bolt it to my garage wall as well, I can't ride at my house/I don't live 2 seconds from trails, so no matter where I ride it's going to be taking the wheel off - so I'll just leave the wheel off, and have a mount on my wall in the garage.

Man, that thing is sweet! I have to look at my mounting options. Now that I think about it, I'll pull some measurements but I might be able to use extruded aluminum to hold a mount somehow instead. And I did see those wheel holders, I think I'm on the list for one.

Curve ball for it is I want to have a way to put my BMX back there too, because I'm 28 and want to go hang out with the middle schoolers

Well, you could get a different fork mount for the BMX. I tried to make my design modular so if a new fork standard comes out, or whatever, finding a replacement piece of angle and swapping it is no big deal because I used Rivnuts and thumbscrews.

Oh, yeah, but the BMX will fit without taking the wheel off :D Hell, my hardtail is a 26 even that might fit without taking the wheels off. Heck, my 27.5 would fit diagonally without taking the wheel off o_O

My Santa Cruz Tallboy came with a WTB Volt, dunno if there are different models but it was probably some cheap OEM version. Best saddle ever. The only touch point on that bike that I haven’t replaced ... still holding up great after 6 years and 6-7000 miles.

2000’ up in 5 miles in direct sun, not much fun. 2000’ down in 5 miles, not bad. Swim in the river, priceless. Unloading bikes back home after 250 mile drive, and finding that my 1Up, which I had checked at camp, was completely loose and held on only by the safety strap, not good.

The WTB Pure V (sport/comp/race/ect) is also an older saddle that was very common and crazy comfy. I believe it was a 145 max width though but it felt wider than similar saddles labeled as the same width. Worth a shot for a free/cheap used one.

hey...I am 52, and I still ride my BMX....

at the skatepark with all of the other 50-something year old dads on their old Hutch's, Mongoose's, Red Lines....

granted, our kids are out riding, and laughing their asses off at us, but hey...better to be laughed at and active, rather than sitting at home on the couch

BMX and heavy metal/punk rock shaped my life back in the early 80's...I lived on my bike!! Best mid-life crisis ever!!!!

Hey man if your mid life crisis is a 490$ bike that’s a whole different playing field to most people buying corvettes.

yep...my wife is super happy b/c of that, and I am/was spending time with her youngest...real dad was not the nicest guy, so I am trying to undo years of pretty bad treatment he endured. He really liked Scotty Cranmer back in the day, and asked if we could ride BMX. I was like: "hell freakin yeahh!!"

he is in college now, and gets around campus on his BMX...also got him into MTB, so we do that too

cool beans man! That was a shitty day when he crashed. I actually rode with Scotty way back when. Cool guy.

I consider myself lucky where I live. I live in east providence - Kevin Robinson’s hometown. The town really took to it. It’s a cool little city to the east (shockingly) of providence over the river. Really need to get back out there and ride some more.

Weather is finally starting to clear up here too.
Did a mellow ride today. One of the things I learned from riding motorcycles is not to ride hard when you’re stressed or not fully there. That’s when shit happens. Work is so shitty right now, and riding the bike really helps even me out.
    Damn pretty day.
