Still think TITNC3: Return of the Iceberg was peak

Waiting for it to break $10 again so I can sell another covered call...I want to get my share price to zero

 

GTII is similar - only 65k in volume today, 10% the norm halfway through trading (roughly halfway).

 

maybe companies should start giving out bi-weekly stimulus checks....

I'm reading lots of reports of big money shorting the hell out of tech (which has driven it down at the cost of retail buyers...) and NOW there's a chance for the whole tech sector to squeeze...OR..
They destroy retail, collapse the tech sector and laugh at us from atop the money piles...
Fuck I want $GME so bad....

 

PS just ran some backtesting on my idears.



Blue line is VTSAX (VTI) red line is VIGIX (VUG). Basically up until the 2018 EOY toss up, they were pretty close but VIGIX lagged behind. This goes back to Jan 2001. Even in the recovery from 2008 it stayed below about the same that whole way. Only recently did VIGIX take higher than VTSAX, so will be interesting to see what happens. I think either way you're good, just wanted to take a look at it!

But not by a boat load! If I had 1mm to start, I might reconsider. But as it is - I'm just going to stick with VTI long term. It's close to SP500 but gets a bit more exposure than SP500 funds.

 

DTC kicked the can on rule 004 for a few weeks. Just get it over with you ninnies. We all know you're screwed. The longer you keep putting this off, the more retail buys, and the deeper the hole gets.

Get in now, even if you buy at the absolute peak right before a tremendous crash, you'll be in a good spot. Waiting right now -- you're getting 0.5% APY if it's sitting in a high yield account, let alone if it's elsewhere.

 

Yeah, $VTI is a buy target if I come into a lot of $$ for some reason...

undoubtedly...but...a major pull back smacks of a great buy in on those types of stocks/funds, esp SPXL...3x leverage SPY...awesome

the tricky bit is if you had all that money in the market and then it dumps 20-50%...at which point sell your losers (pre-crash) for tax loss, then dump into winners or new speculatives and/or total market...

i read an article on passive investing in the sense that you just dump $X dollars a month into a market index type fund with the asterisk that you put more in when the market moves down more than normal (i.e. typically 1% pre covid times) and less when the market is rallying...that seems like a decent play if you wanna more or less "set and forget"
