God damn, I only ran what, a 60mm on the Focus ST and that thing was a torque monster on E85; couldn't damn near steer it for the first 3 gears

That's awesome; wasn't sure what your car came with stock or that it was upgraded but knew the Audi's ran what TD04's?

 

Yeah, Audis are running duals though, well the fun ones are at least haha, two small turbos is fine then. That stupid little 1.8 and 2.0 4banger aren't fun engines with their KO3s or with an upgraded KO4. I've just got the one turbo on this guy haha. It spools near instantly because this engine is 10.2:1 compression.

Forgot to mention; that block off plate you see on the stock turbo is to block off that noise maker Ford implemented to make 'noise' enter the cabin as you were in boost.

For real though, glad that's over but I guess the fun has yet to begin. Wife got hers yesterday and was fine up until about bedtime, then she was all cold and shaky like she had a bad fever. Doing better this AM though. I probably should've just taken the day off but meh. If I start feeling like shit during work I'll call it a half day.

 

I have an E30 tune but I run out of high pressure fuel pump above that level of corn. I cannot push enough and keep the pressure above 2500psi. My corn tune holds 23psi all the way up to 6500rpm and will overboost to 25psi above 3k but below 5k with about 7* of timing. Right now on the 91 tune I run 19psi and it tapers to 16 above 5500 rpm, but at a shift it will overboost to 22psi to get back in powerband. With total timing advance of about 5* at full boost, it pulls really hard for a 91 tune.

Did it really feed that thing through one tiny port? That's kinda amazing, how is the exhaust manifold/head passage thing not a restriction for boost generation.

 

Ooof, yeah, that's how mine went. I got the 2nd dose at 8 am and was good til about 7 pm when the fatigue and chills hit hard. Of course I was totally exhausted but couldn't sleep til after midnight. Spend most of the next day in bed with the chills sleeping it off

 

Yeah sounds like you and her had the same exact experience, she's still not 100% today. Did you get the Moderna one too?

Makes sense -- if you had COVID and had the existing antibodies they are ready to react and go
if you didn't they aren't ready til 2nd shot time

 

My dad and his wife both got covid, she got it pretty bad...they both got the 2 dose vaccine and didn't have any side effects worth noting. I've noticed from the older folks in my family, they tend to say the vaccine didn't effect them much.

Maybe they're all just way tougher than us, lol.
