What are you paying for your 2021 Tacoma? (price thread)

Congrats on the truck! what was the customer cash in the deal? Now it’s gone...Nashua told me MSRP on a sport. Wouldn’t even entertain talking a price. But I’m in no rush so it’s fine. But ill call rockingham if they are willing to deal (their lack of inventory has kept me away)

Paid 43,200 which is MSRP (which is apparently though to get near) in Canada on a 2021 TRD off road access cab. All in was about 45,000, less trade value I paid 33,000.

 

My allocation order showed up "out of the blue" at my dealer yesterday. I am not complaining but I don't think it was my order, I think they weren't expecting this build as it has a handful of extras I didn't want, but I will take it.

Put $500 deposit down in early March, so about 60 days to arrive.

A number of the packages were added at the port and not the factory which again makes me believe this was not mine or they added them on knowing I wouldn't say no. The items I did not want added up to $878, but like I said I am not complaining. Been trying to get this build for a year. Was not interested in blackout package, way over priced and I had planned to debadge or buy aftermarket online. Mini Tie Downs - eh?, bed light I might find useful, door edge guard - eh?, mud flaps - eh?. Really all I wanted for extras was the all weather floor mats & door sill protector. Also had requested bed mat and the alloy wheel lug nut locks. Easy enough for me to add on my own.

The call caught me way off guard. I was expecting a few weeks notice to line up financing. No deals here in SoCal with Toyota. Scrambled yesterday and got approved at 2.24% with BofA vs. Toyota at 3.99%. Salesperson said they couldn't match or beat the 2.24% so that is what I am going with. Highly recommend Bof A if you ned to scramble. They were the only site that approved in real time online and all you have to do is bring a few docs with you. Dealer told me no problem, they finalize BofA pre-approved loans all the time.

I was also expecting eons of added fees. I had asked for an itemized list of what to expect last month and dealer just said estimate about 10% above MSRP. Was pleasantly surprised the doc fee was just $85 and nothing silly added on beyond that.

Congrats on joining the rare 7568 club. Love my loaded OR DCLB like yours. Mine is twin of yours except the blackout package. I added the aftermarket blackout ovelays, bedmat, sidesteps, seat covers and tonneau.

Lastly, CA has max on doc fee by law, thus you were charged $85

I love my bed lights. Life saver for me. Then again my 2018 didn't have bed lights and had OEM candle headlights. My 2021 feels like its from a future century in comparison

Why cover that leather trim w/seat covers?

 

Getting filthy at the farm. Moonroof was what i wanted, not leather, but Toyota decides I can't have one without the other. Also perfect leather will be good for resale

 

He hasn’t updated it since April 25. It was accurate for the 3 updates he did March-April but he hasn’t been back on since then either.

 

Well that list had 1 Tacoma in the entire country that matched what I have ordered.... here's hoping that it actually comes in and comes in correct cuz there ain't many like it apparently...

 

Makes sense. I feel the same in regards to the moonroof vs leather. Just another way to up$ell the consumer.

Ooomph! I know that spreadsheet is very outdated at this point but when I filter it to match my "order" and four show up (three of which are my second color choice), I know to expect no pleasant surprises on the wait time. Is what it is and I'll be giddy when I do receive that call.

I already ordered the OVTune. It has similar characteristics to my 2019 I used to have and want to get rid of.

Happy to be driving a smaller truck again.

My purchase on paper doesn't appear to be favorable, but it worked out for me.

I purchased a 2021 TRD PRO with a manual. it had the following factory/dealer installed equipment.

• Tinted windows
• Keyless entry pad
• Full LED interior and bed lighting
• TRD PRO floor mats
• Door sill protection
• Tacoma Bed mat
• Phone charger package (extra USB ports)

I'm sure I missed something.

Toyota Window sticker was $46796.00 which included destination, the dealer BS sticker (with their so called ad-on) was $49589.00.

On paper I paid $48813.03 OTD.

Here is where and why I say it worked out for me. I traded in a 2019 Chevy diesel ZR2, everyone and I mean everyone (carMax, Carvona and local dealers) would not offer me anything over $37500.00 for it. In the deal they gave me $41963.00 for my trade it, and I was suppose to give them $500.00, which I never did. They won't allow me to finance through my own financial center, so I let them finance me through Toyota. The following day I got my bank to buy out the loan and I saved almost 2% APR. (I Financed $25k.) The dealer has my old truck listed for less than what they gave me for it. I know they made money and I'm ok with that. I also know that no dealer in my state will sell you a TRD PRO below sticker. They gave me a very good deal on my trade-in, $4500.00 more than anyone else was welling to give me. I was only expecting $37500.00 and my calculation was around that trade-in number. I didn't want to pay more than $44k out the door and I got it $500 below that goal, based on a $37.5k trade-in.

So in my book, I actually paid just under $43500.00 OTD and I'm paying $10.00 less in my monthlies than I was before with the ZR2.

That's a lot of typing I hope it all makes sense. LOL
