Same. Thats actually why I bought my toyota.
Short story. Back in late 2001, I had an 89 Jimmy that I bought from my grams. She bought it off the showroom floor in PA to take my Grandfather up and over the mountain to the VA hospital.

Anyway, The gmc was packed and I was headed home to indiana for Christmas around 8am.
Got in, started it up and applied brakes to back out of my spot.

Pedal goes to the floor and I see fluid spraying on the vehicle next to me on the drivers side.

GF take me to carquest or whatever, buy new line, spend 3 hrs messing with this rusty MFr
    getting the old line off.

Done, get in, start it, apply brake pressure.
Pedal goes to the floor and brake fluid is shooting out on the passenger side vehicle.

Pissed. Told the gf to take me to Toyota.
Spot my prerunner, 10 min test drive, sign the papers and tell them to have it ready in an hour.

And thats the story of how/why I bought my 1st ever new vehicle.
20 years together this coming Christmas.

My commute from Ballantyne to Indian trail in the mornings is 25mins. It’s not bad, can’t wait for the construction to be done

My commute is a bitch! Some asshole bought a house with stairs between the bedroom and the office. At least I don't have to stay in my office with my new(covid Era) coworkers.

This is why I have a single story ranch and keep the office and the master bedroom in the same room!
