Shopping for a small unit...like 1000 or 800 amp. Would be used to start mower, buggy, dirt bike or Tacoma in a pinch. The 'largest' need I might have would be my 26 hp diesel lawn mower engine. Small physical size is a plus to be able to toss in a backpack and take on extended dirt bike excursions.

Looking at the offering from Interstate Batteries. I'm not so much interested in gadgets and extras as I am for long life from the unit.

    What ya got TW?

Like it? Why or why not?

    Thanks!

NOCO GB40 has been a godsend for me. I love the compact size and have jumped farm equipment to an Excursion no issue. Fits great in an Apache 1800 case from HF too.

I caught the NOCO GB40 on sale a while back. Its decent. I also got the hard case for tossing it in the rear seat storage.

Normally it floats around 100 bucks, but on occasion you can snag it for less than 75.

Microstart (Overland Journal did an article a while back where they used a few in series to weld off-trail) or Noco.
