What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Another Access Cab to drool over!!,, I have heard rumor that in some jurisdictions the theft of an Access Cab could be considered "justifiable theft" just a rumor but Hay! you have to agree, it is tempting!!

 

Your first photo looks similar to my old set up.

 

Been a while and a few upgrades since I've posted on here so here goes nothing.

• AVS Window Deflectors for hot FL summers
• Diode Dynamics SS3 Sport fog lights
• Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro Driving lights along with cheap Amazon ditch lights. (don't need to be expensive for 10ft down and out)
• DIY Fridge slide for 42quart fridge, (fridge should be in saturday)
• Installed 2nd battery (24DC) dedicated to running all my camp lighting along with fridge and power panel in rear.
• Added solar to run fridge indefinitely with amount of sun we get here (
  $90 RICH SOLAR 100 Watt 12 Volt 9BB Cell Monocrystalline Solar Panel High Efficiency Solar Module Charge Battery for RV Trailer Camper Marine Off Grid
  100W Rich Solar) and to charge starter battery.
• Added Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) to charge 2nd battery via alternator when running and to jump starter if ever needed.

I think that's pretty much everything since last post.

 

Why yes I did. I needed a little more adjustment then the ball allowed, so volla'.

 

I did that but with the twist I wanted it did not work. Held the x mount too far from dash and too far towards window. Thus a bracket was needed.

 

From my understanding it fits perfectly. The only thing that you would need is a need newer radio din. My dasaita come with one, so we'll see if comes together as planned. If not I'll resale it.

Non 4x4

 

Has anyone gotten a blower motor off RockAuto? OEM is like $125 and rockauto has them for under $40. Wondering if they are worth a shot being 1/3rd of the price.

 

I've seen a few people get them from rockauto and have been fine.

The boot kit arrived yesterday. The clamps look to be the correct size. I haven't had the time to crawl under the truck to have a closer look.
I call it a kit because the boot and clamps came with a bag of grease in the box, which I won't be using. I'll be using the Motorcraft grease. The clamps say "OEM T", so maybe OEM Toyota?

I didn't know there such things as headliner speakers in Tacomas

 

I wonder if my 2013 has these?! I never noticed...

 

Yup, they are complete garbage.. stopped working and started buzzing 2 years into ownership.

I thinks it's only 09 access cab and up, I can't remember. There used to be 4 door speakers until they transitioned to these stupid hockey pucks.

 

Does this work in a 2012+ second gen? Assuming this is a part from an early second Gen.

 

You can use 4 if you extend the bolts
