I am straight up not having a good day. Feeling the vaccine hangover today, then a doctor's visit that confirmed I need a surgery that's going to wreck my summer and fall plans. On top of all that, on the way to my son's birthday celebration...this. With ~2k miles on the truck.

Yay. Plus side, the kids learned how to change a tire.

Free pliers! Or wire cutters. Haven't pulled them out yet.

I was thinking maybe the graphic should be applied so the grill is the mouth? Not sure how the headlights would fit in, though.

Something I never expected to see in a truck forum... a reference to Schrodinger's cat.

    Nice.

Thats a different subject than saying the tech is unimpressive.
This whole topic should be on a thread of its own. I didn't realize what I started when I just thought about the irony of the first post. It's all just fun and games till.... well, anyway,
I kinda sort of agree with you on that point, but I would still love to take a ride in one if it weren't so expensive. I think it is more that care and attention to the particular aircraft than the age though. New planes crash all the time as well.

You do realize we’re only a couple years away from people saying this exact same thing about our horribly scary gasoline burning trucks don’t you?

Changed out the rear bumper caps and then tried to figure out which rear facing car seat fits better in the back seat. The car seat thing was too much for me to figure out, so I will leave that for tomorrow.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’m running it from under passenger to the A/C controls. Hopefully I don’t run into any problems. Just might order to be get ahead of the trouble.

At 30AWG, will that be able to handle the amperage? I use Ethernet cable all over the truck for relay control signals, and that makes me a little nervous.

A Tacoma, just like everybody else...
Discovered my timing chain cover is leaking now that my warranty is up.
You would never notice unless you pull your skid plate and find oil on it or if you just happen to be looking at your power steering pump.
From what I've seen Toyota charges $3,500-$4,500 to fix it because they have to pull the motor.
Looks like it's happened to others on here.
This is really just a PSA, check for oil periodically before your warranty is up by your power steering pump.
This is a manufacturer's defect but if you don't catch it before your warranty is up you'll be in the same boat as me.

Measured top of tire to fender before and after, both measurements were stock tires. Haven’t measured anything since I put the new tire on. I posted pics a few pages ago
