I’m interested in learning more about this. I don’t understand why this truck wants to shift to fifth gear going 25mph in town as soon as it can and also if I let off the brakes after going down my driveway it wants to stay in first gear at 25mph at 60 million RPMs. Makes no sense. Its always acted like that though.

2020 Tacoma in for an updated TSB and the KDMax 6.0 Performance Tune. Again, seeing complaints with shifting and power in the stock calibration.

Took time to explain the procedure and as always using best practices for flashing both the TSB and new Calibration.

Typical test drive with the client laughing when just leaving the driveway.. He was so pleased with the results and so were we..
We monitored AFR's, Knock, Torque Converter Locking, Shift Points, All Temperatures and Ignition Advance to name just a few.. The truck loved the tune...

Thats they way the stock calibration is tuned.. It didn't get better in the 3rd Gen either - I'll be able to fix a bunch of transmission and shifting issues with the tuning..

    I'll Keep you posted..

    Regards,

    John

Well boys on the way to see mom now truck won’t start at gas station. Doesn’t even turn. Truck has power so it’s not battery. Starter makes no noise? Any ideas?
