Even if your SR does not have the door mirror turn signal, check these connectors, the wire might be there from behind.
The connector you see is the one that runs to the door.
The one to check is the one that is held in place. Verify behind it.

I have a 2007 TRD and wanted to know if the 2016-2020 TRD sport mirrors will bolt up? I wanted these mirrors for the puddle light mod. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone actually successfully installed Tacoma TRD side mirrors on a SR5 yet? I have read this thread multiple times and found many great ideas and or issues but with no REAL answered questions. I have a 2019 SR5 and I would like to attempt this upgrade but have ran into some perplexing issues. Seems feasible. First unanswered question - Splicing into the front headlight turn signal seems pointless because you end up with a side mirror turn signal that will stay on with the driving lights. Doesn't seem to be a solution for this configuration in this thread. Second question - I probably miss read the post but thought someone stated that splicing into the rear turn signal would some how prevent the side mirrors from being powered on with the driving lights? Current situation - If you power up the TRD side mirrors using the "Splicing Method" connecting them to the front headlight assembly turn signal. The TRD mirrors work but do not power off if you have the driving lights on. Answers? Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The SR5 has dual filament for DRL & Turn (high side) and Parking/Tail (low side). Taping into the front DRL/Turn would give you duplicate function on the mirror LED's. That would be DRL ON during day, and flashing when TURN is selected, OFF after low beam is selected and ON when TURN is selected. I don't know how long the mirror LED's would last.

Second question - So that it is clear for all - tapping or splicing into the TAIL light turn signal will provide power intermittently only and not power them on with the driving lights powered. If so then any recommendations as to where to tap into the rear tail lights? Drawings? Schematics? Thanks for the feedback. It helps trust me.

If @kmorgan3 would start on the C10 connector tap you'd have a no cut to OEM wiring. C10 is the connector coming from the Combination Meter that has all the REARTURN. There's also connector 1A & 1F which are part of the module that houses the cab fuses. EB1 is in the engine bay relay & fuse box, way "far" to run them to each door.

I can be convinced if someone wants to be a guinea pig. I haven’t priced-out materials or searched for equivalent connectors.

So your saying tap into the C10 connector that plugs into this module that is located behind the dash combination meter. That also runs to the interior fuse bus through 1A and 1F. I will attempt to locate them and get back to you. Thank you

The easier location to tap is 1F. But whatever you tap, post some pics for us here. The C10 would've been the preferred location IF the T harness was available:D

With C10 Connector being located behind the dash. I am attempting to locate the 1F connector. The wire diagram from post #41 does not point out its location.

The there are 4 bolts holding the Combination meter. The C10 is attached to the rear of the Combo Meter.
