Eibach pro lift kit

I was only able to get my hands on 1-inch blocks, I'm worried I'll have a bit of a Cali lean if I go on the 2nd notch in the front? Bed does have camping gear in the back, maybe 60-150lbs full time.

 

Has anybody had the icon aal in back plus airbag system setup for adding any added weight in back. I had a bigger load of black dirt and some 2x10x8 cedar wood in back and it was squatting pretty bad. Was going to add a 1 inch block with the aal but that doesn't really solve long term issues. I could have going with the Deaver heavy springs but then have to live with the harsh ride the other 90% of time nothing is back there. Front is set to 1st notch, probably going to 2nd notch not sure yet. What do you guys think??

 

So I just noticed that it says based on using OE springs, so is the eibach springs set more stiff than the OE right does that mean more lift then?

 

I believe the Eibach springs are a 700lb spring and give 2” at bottom notch, not accounting for added weight. I ended up ordering the stage 2.0 kit for the ability to adjust the spring perch while on the truck and it’s a softer set of springs.

 

To answer your question yes you can use oem coils or eibach coils. Really ok up to you.

 

I highly recommend folks coat their new wheels before installing. Makes a world of difference when cleaning them.

That wasn't the question, it was if the eibach springs offered more lift than the stock springs. According to that sheet that lift was with the oe springs not the eibach springs?

Had the kit on for a couple weeks now and I’m happy with it. Front set on second notch with 1/4” lean spacer on drivers side, 1.5 add a leaf in the rear. Wheels are 17s with a -12 offset on 285 geolanders. Looks to sit perfectly level.

 

A little settling in the front after 3 weeks.

 

Does the 1st notch keep the truck at the same height it already is (2018 OR) and only improve the ride quality?

Or do you get an additional 2-inches?

 

For those with the Eibach rear shocks, how are you torqueing the nut on the top of the rear shocks?

Do you keep tightening it til it bottoms out?

What torque value are you using? No good way to get a torque wrench up there.

 

If using OEM springs you'll maintain stock ride height. Using Eibach springs will net you around 2". I haven't installed mine yet but can only imagine ride quality is improved.

 

20# You can use a crow foot on the torque wrench to get in there. I ended up getting a cheap set of crow foots at harbor freight for $10

 

Were you able to bottom the nut out? I didn't pay attention to the top of the rear shock prior to assembly, is the entire shaft threaded or does it stop somewhere?

For reference, I have about 6 threads exposed above the nut on my rear Eibachs. It feels like more than 20ft/lbs, but I was just using a ratcheting wrench.

 

No I doubt you would be able to go that far. The rubber will slightly bulge & should show about that many threads. 20# is just what the Toyota manual shows. I retorqued everything after a few days of driving
