    But I digress....I guess wanting to access recovery gear easily and not have to dig around for it and to keep said dirty recovery gear out of my cab is a douchebaggy-er-ish thing.

    ETA- Also anyone who modifies a Tacoma knows the gas mileage is going to get worse and is likely the least of their concerns.

    If the answer is truly "mo storage" then I have to call bs. The Yakima skybox I've got has to have 3-4x the capacity of these Plano boxes.

    I think the real answer may be Taco owners are a bunch of princesses going for style points.

    I write this as a princess aiming for style points, just willing to admit it.

    I dunno if I've ever seen one of those Yakima cargo boxes atop a Tacoma
    4runners yes because they have less storage space in their trunk than a truck bed

    Why is your first assumption that if someone has a long shallow cargo case, that they have guns in it?? I use mine for my tripod and light stands, but it stays inside my bed shell. And, I shoot kids for a living.
