So got some good news over the past few days about my Dad's WWII Squad Journal. I can't remember if I told y'all, but he landed at Omaha Beach on D Day. He was the Squad Clerk and Engineer (EOD). He told me at the end of the war, a truck came around and collected all the Journals. Well....Dad tossed in a bunch of blank paper so he could take the Journal back to the EOD school in Indian Head Maryland.
    dday.jpg

Well the EOD historian emailed me today and looks like the journal, and a bunch of other things will be placed in the EOD Museum in Florida. (Elgin AFB). They moved the school many years ago from Maryland.
Got a great story too about disarming a 500 lb bomb on a blown up railroad bridge.....
    I'll post that later.

I'm about 40 miles south of where you're going, but I've had 24.1" of rain so far this year.

Good morning all. I have to meet a handyman over at mom’s house this morning and then go down to the basement to look again for something that I just can’t find...

Yesterday’s Dr appointment turned into another appointment, two tests, and blood work.

It's a very nice area. We've visited it several times when vacationing in Nashville in the past. Beautiful area. Many country music artists live in that area on the Cumberland River. Hope all goes smoothly with the move for ya.

Good morning. More paint on the roof rack today if it doesn't rain. Off to the farmers market for some tomatoers.
Y'all be safe out there, paint fumes can make you dizzy.

    Good Morning Folks

Looks to be a nice day. Maybe cut grass later. O' damn, I'm being forced into work today. Weekend hours for me are 11am till 5pm. Pretty much kills the day. Don't mind it so much if the weather is bad and the wife is busy.

In case someone hasn't seen this, Kidde is recalling smoke/carbon monoxide alarms. Just saw this today.

Affected models in the recall include Kidde Model Series 2040, 2050, 2060 and 2070 smoke and their combination smoke/carbon monoxide alarms. Some of the models will have the TruSense logo or “AMBER=FAULT” on the front.
The recalled models were sold at WalMart, Home Depot, Menards and Amazon between May 2019 and September 2020.

    Looks real nice
