There's a guy on here who took it to a shop and paid $200. Looks good and price doesn't seem bad to me. I personally wouldn't paint myself because I have never been good with that kind of stuff. Can build anything but painting baffles me. Don't know why

That is my plan B. If I screw up painting this. Will remove the paint and bring it to the shop and let the pro handle it. Will see if this paint last long. Will send an update after a year

I bought a 2nd 2020 grill and plasti dipped it myself, definitely not perfect but it'll do for now. This was my first time using plasti dip. I will get my original grill professionally painted as well. Thinking of keeping both grills.

Just did the same thing to mine plus tinted the logo this weekend. Really not tough to do at all, the prep work is the most important step! Looks nice!

I changed my 2019 OR grill to the 2020 and now I'd kind of like to paint my satin black as well. It looks really good. Nice job OP

Wow, this makes a huge difference on an MGM truck! Nicely done! Any plans to black out more of the truck (emblems, headlights, lug nuts, etc.)?

    Pics of the tint?

This is an example of a 2 part paint with a "hardner" that you can buy at a body shop supply store (jobber). I've used this on motorcycle parts, it's super strong and will hold out to small rock hits very well. Now that I've read this post, I think I'll have to do my 20 grill as well!

I thought about painting. I bought the "bro" grille instead. Honestly, I don't even like it.

I will most likely replace with an earlier model grille. I have no idea the version it is but I see it all the time on here. It's an all black one and simple, but I'm not sure if it will work with my sensor. The bro grille is kind of a PITA to clean. Too many crevices. During winter I just spray and go but during summer the bugs are relentless. Not looking forward to even trying to clean it.

I dunno, considering the "Nightshade" grille.
