we havent even seen the whole truck. For all we know you have a basic TRD Sport, judging by the wheels you shared. Im expecting some ridiculous mall crawler you're trying to put back to stock.

Wow. OP, you should've just post a " Will even trade for 5 lug Tacoma" thread on here and make it a win-win for TW members. Trust me when I say that your current stock tacoma is somewhat under the radar.

Pretty sure those wheels are stock for that truck... no point in going down to 16s.... Id much prefer the 17s.

Yep, keep the 17"s. No need to spend $ to lower it.

    Like, so many.
I suppose you could just get smaller tires, but I don't know why you would. It's definitely not flashy.

Been a while since I checked in on this thread, but here's my truck. It's pretty much stock, and I don't really care about resale value because I'm never selling it. It's probably the last vehicle I'll ever own. I just turned 60.

It's a beaut right there, a pure stock unmolested TRD Sport, perfect. Truly perfect, no one will bat an eye at that stock rig.

Good job on keeping those 17 inch rims. I think they are the best option as not only are they stock for the vehicle, they:
    - allow you to run upgraded brakes for the front at some point in the future if you wish (17 inch rims allow room for bigger calipers and rotors)

    - if the paint bubbles and fails on the original rims (as mine did), you can pick up dealer take off 17 inch 4Runner rims for next to nothing as dealers upgrade their stock (I paid $200 shipped for 4 brand new rims - couldn’t repair my old ones for nearly that little)

Not quite unmolested. I swapped the scoop hood with a plain vanilla hood. I hate useless ornamentation.
