Can I just hit the dang thing with a hammer? Same as the other people’s. Code p2441. I’d like to give it a fricking code. Hi

 

You may still fall under the TSB. Check your VIN against Toyota's database and see if you qualify for the replacement. I'm pretty sure the website is www.toyota.com/owners. Then, once its replaced and your issue resolved, replace your internal foam filter with an external Unifilter.

Toyota is giving me the run around. How can I inspect this secondary air filter myself?

 

1. Un-snap plastic cover
2. Unscrew top bolt in the center
3. Gently pry up on lid evenly to avoid cracking or damage

What kind of sponge can I try to replace the one in the secondary air filter?

I’m going to take it to my son’s place and get a Subaru from him. Insurance is cheaper

 

I meant get rid of the whole secondary air injection pump. If you can find somebody with a tuner it’ll be about $100 in parts and 2 hours of work

 

I know that is what you meant. I’m out of money and I’m old, so I’m having trouble getting someone to hire me
