What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Are.you putting a layer of reflectix up there too or is that tinfoil bubble wrap part of the noico red?

Is there a kit you can order from them for the truck or what did you all buy to insulate the cab?

 

Noico red over the sound deaden material. I can report my cab is a lot cooler since doing this mod. Totally worth it. Can't wait to do it to the 4runner as well.

 

It was noico sound deadening as well? How much was needed?

 

Did a drain and fill on the auto trans, cleaned throttle body, mass air flow sensor, and replaced the cabin air filter.

 

I parked my truck on the street so I could safely mow the lawn. Even if the traffic doesn’t slow down, at least they have to move over. BTW, I love my Snapper battery powered mower.

 

I tied the wires off for now. Haven't planned anything yet. I've always thought about cutting the rear doors, just hasn't been a realization yet. Did you do it? Looks pretty simple.

Lol.. no, no tinfoil, duck tape, Saran wrap or bubble wrap. Just noico products.

I noticed a massive difference when I finished the roof.

What rear bumper is that?

 

For a lawn that size you need a riding mower! Unless you use an undersized and underpowered mower on purpose to stay outside longer...

For the Tacoma double cab roof/floor, I used two boxes of Kilmat 80mil. (Each box 18 sq ft)
One box of Noico Red (36 sq ft)

Ordered two more boxes of Kilmat 80mil (2 x 36 sq ft) and whatever i have left over of the Noico Red to do the 4runner.

Both trucks parked outside, ceramic tint all the way around, and the Tacoma is significantly cooler in cabin. Labor intensive mod, that's for sure.

 

Busy weekend. Bilstein lift 2.5 inches new wheels and 285s no rubbing! Installed color matched sport door handles and mirrors. Mirrors were plug and play indicator lights work as well
Also plasti dipped all the badges and installed color matched pop n lock. Before shot included. I'm really curious how the 100+ days are going to be like after doing this. I also have super dark tint all around minus the windshield.

Ive done everything but the floor and I can say the noise reduction alone makes it a "well worth the effort" mod.

Did you apply red noico to the doors as well?

 

I haven't, but since you reminded me, i just may do it tomorrow. Agree on the noise reduction. Sound system is sounding better than ever.

Is it stiffer and stronger than the plastic? Also just replaces original panel correct? No drilling or anything as I will about to order as well. Looks awesome.

 

That looks really nice! That lift is just about the perfect amount IMHO.
