I’m a new member and would appreciate some advice on my power steering issue. My power steering went ou so I went and got a new pump. I cleaned out the reservoir and screen, installed the new pump, flushed the system, and now the steering is only a little better and it whines. Did I get a bad pump? Any help will be appreciated!

@Olaa Did you get it all fixed?
I had the same issue and just replaced the ps pump today. Ran multiple flushes, cleaned out the reservoir and inner filter, checked fittings and lines for corrosion/worn out parts, etc.
Everything else was working fine from what I could figure.
The first pump I got from O'Reilly's wasn't working correctly. Luckily, that's what the lifetime warranty is for.
New pump installed and it runs like a clock again.
