Well with minimal gnashing of teeth I got the old injectors out without taking the air cleaner tube or throttle body off.20210509_151546.jpg

@Speedytech7 20210509_152823.jpg And should I be worried one of these rubes is slightly deformed?

The 2 hole are stock for the older 3rz, that other is aftermarket. I wouldn't run a non matched set especially when the spray pattern is different. the system isn't designed to handle different injectors in different holes. I'd buy a full matched set

Ordered 4 of the intermotor brand "new" ones p/n FJ377

I think only the one different one is actually new because the other 3 have Denso numbers on the side of the brown plastic

Would you run one of the old ones till I get another that matches?

Eh, i'd just wait until you get another new one. Tel rock auto you want an exchange. They clearly rebuilt a cheapo aftermarket unit

Rockauto seems to be dropping the ball lately. There was that member last week that ordered a pair of Mevotech UCAs and one arm was the new version and the other was one of the old ones lol.

Those parts are technically separate, they don't come in a set, there is a distinct possibility this can happen and rockauto tell you that.

Welp, imma just run the new off pattern one till a replacement comes in. Truck starts great even with the mixed set and it's missing that noticeable stumble when the AC compressor kicks on like the old ones had.

So imma say I definitely needed to change em:laughing:

I don't understand why they bother selling them individually and not as a pair, seems like that would alleviate that issue. They told him to send both back and order again.

Possibility of getting two different arms and having to deal with sending them back and risk it happening again...seems counter intuitive.

On the other hand, it is cool you can get the new design SPCs for cheap...if you're lucky enough to get 2 of them and not just one
