What issues did you experience with the forester(s)? I have an ‘09 2.5X MT now, around 82k miles. Driving it for work as an outside salesperson/lumber and building materials.

Wow. You guys buy a lot of cars. I’m 62 and here’s what I’ve owned (including my wife’s assigned cars).

1970 maverick (dad towed it home and said take auto shop and replace the head).
    1979 Monte Carlo
Married and so had 2 cars now
    1978 celica
    1974 civic
    1986 accord
    1991 voyager (worse car ever!)
    1997 4Runner (best I’ve ever owned)
    1993 Acura vigor
    2010 Tacoma (still have)
    2013 CRV (wife still has)

I pretty much drive them until they die.

    Check build thread!
I'm 17, so nowhere near as impressive as most
    1. 1972 Jeep CJ5. 4.2 i6, 3 speed manual, yellow on black interior. A little bit beat up but very fun. Unfortunately sold for university funds
    2. 2005 Kia Spectra. The shittiest car by all measurable qualities made (bought it from my boss for fun). It died of me jumping it at 50 mph in my buddies field and making the motor touch the hood. Still ran and an drove when it was sent to scrap. Thing was indestructible offroad.
    3. 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Purchased for 500 dollars. Limited model (loaded). Was amazingly comfortable. 4.7 V8. QuadracDrive II. Amazingly Capable offroad, let down only by its low underbelly. Also amazingly unreliable. Sold it.
    4. 2005 Nissan Sentra (5 speed manual!). This was bought for my brother new in 2005 as a graduation gift. Fun, reliable and efficient car. My mom still tows it behind her rv to this day so she doesn't have to damage her Jeep. Loved driving it, it carried me through many a snowstorms and rainstorms. 300k km and not a single replaced part besides normal wear stuff (shocks, bushings, oil, brakes.)
    5. 2009 Honda Civic Coupe 6 Speed Manual. Bought wrecked for a quick flip, ended up for selling it for scrap for what I bought it for after finding too much damage to fix. It was fun to drive even with no front clip though.
    6. 2021 Toyota Tacoma. Only have had it for just over 3 months, 9000km so far (really low for me, corona sucks) and love it thus far.
