I bought our 18 4Runner at Wilsonville and my 20 Tacoma at Beaverton. Both were excellent experiences. I haggled with Gladstone, Broadway, Gresham and Royal Moore got the same bs run around from all of them and wound up at the same price in 5 minutes at the other two places. Was in and out on both purchases in under an hour. The manager that ran Wilsonville is now in Beaverton hence the exact same pricing but I’d recommend both to anyone.

Right, if money were no issue it wouldn’t be a question.
Is that your take because of the MT ONLY or everything else on the truck? If they made an SR V6 MT I’d get that, but they don’t.

    MT for sure

After owning a SR for 3 years and 42k miles, now on to an OR, it’s the hands down better truck

Yeah, not a fan of Beaverton or Wilsonville due to their no haggle prices. I bought my 2018 from Kendall Eugene as they gave me over double off what Beaverton and wilsonville wanted to give me for a 2017... I love pitting dealers against one another to get the best price, but due to the market right now I’m not sure if any will break.

I noticed the Vancouver dealer is above msrp! I literally laughed and immediately exited out of their tab I had open online. Not the best plan when half dozen dealers close to them are below msrp.

Back when I about got my 2018 a guy at Gladstone straight told me I was a liar. Literally told me in an email. He didn’t believe the price I was getting from Kendall. At the time it was about the best anyone had posted on here for a 2018. Especially on an SR5, but still dude was not professional. Sent him a screen shot and the manager at the time immediately sent me a giant apology email. They won’t be getting my business no matter what.

This dealer has caught my attention. Their advertised prices are some of the best i can find in Oregon. Have you dealt with them before? They just don’t currently show a long bed Off-road in stock/in transit.

Royal Moore has a 2019 SR5 (almost identical to my 2018) listed for $41k... absolutely nuts. They have a few other SR5s listed for pretty crazy prices as well.

I may run out to Royal tomorrow just to see that crazy priced SR5 in person ha

Maybe the times have changed a bit! Back in 2018 their prices for Tacoma’s were only $1,700 to 1,900 off msrp. Less than Costco discount even ha Kendall over doubled their offers off msrp with a one year newer model year for me. Then again I did send many emails out to all these dealers and got a few to keep giving me lower and lower prices. Had a price locked in before stepping onto a single dealer’s lot. In and out quick with no face to face BS.

I actually live between Beaverton and Wilsonville Toyota which is why I mentioned them. With supply and demand right now not many dealers seem to be willing to play. Which is understandable, but I enjoy the negotiation process ha

I also found, back in 2018, Kendall in Eugene was the most open to meeting my price so I purchased from them.

Right now, however, the only western dealers I've encountered that have a "I don't want to lose your business because of price" attitude on Tacomas are Peterson Toyota in Boise and Camelback Toyota in Phoenix.

I’m so glad I bought in 2019 before the virus. Paid $42.8k for my TRD PRO Taco. The prices are insane now. Trade in offers are awesome though. Lol

$35,728. $500 off MSRP with the Costco program.
Had to drive like 8 hours away from California to find someone even willing to find me an allocation of the Access cab with a manual. Super happy I didn't have to end up settling for a double cab, basically every dealer in California said Access Cab with an MT would be impossible to get. Dealer in Wa, luckily just south of my parents, found me one within 5 minutes.

Does the costco price really make a big difference?

How much could you get a sport trd, 4x4, tech package for with that costco discount?

Paid $1000 under MSRP of 43,430 on my 2021 TRD off road ACLB in Northern BC. I've been told that Canadian dealerships are very reluctant to get close to MSRP, and even less likely to go under. Anyone know if this is true?

It depends on the Costco contract with the dealership. It normally works off of invoice price, such as + $250, -$250 etc. so you are already starting in a good place.

Ah, gotcha! I chatted with a guy at Damian for a bit. He only has one long bed currently coming in and its loaded. He was by far the most helpful and least pushy dealer person I have talked to today. He even said that right now the value of some used Tacoma's is actually more than they sell them brand new. That is why they like getting in the used ones right now. Strange times.

I went to two other dealers today and talked to a 3rd. First dealer set up a KBB offer that wasnt even my exact model and options.. They showed me the $31.5k trade in value. I opened up my phone and showed them what the correct KBB trade in value actually was ($33.4 to $36.3k). They werent too happy about that and said they would do $35k right there on the spot. I left shortly after that. On my way home I got some calls from other dealers now that my truck had a KBB estimate. Kind of annoying but oh well. Called one back and the guy offered me $36.5 sight unseen. Hmm much more tempting. Took that info to another dealer in person. They told me if someone offered me $36.5k for my truck I should take it and run ha They wouldn't even give me an offer. Oh well!
