Miles per tank

I recorded the miles/gallons/average for the 14 years I had my 2004 Tacoma and now for the 3 years I've owned my 2018 Tacoma.
I may have kept the same for the 1994 Tacoma I had for 10 years, but didn't save the spreadsheet file for some reason.

 

What's a "tank" to you? 17 (light on), 18 (E line), or 21 (tank volume) gallons?

 

400-420 DTE in spring/summer/fall. In two years of ownership I have averaged 21.4 MPG (hand calculated) over 16K logged miles. This excluded tanks where I've towed my 2500 lb boat. You can squeeze MPG out of the Tacoma if you try.

Any of you guys have any numbers on stock V6s doing city driving? I do like 90% city, and by city I mean I'm a pool guy so it's 25mph stop sign to stop sign through residential neighborhoods all day and I get like 14mpg. Wondering if something might legitimately be wrong with the truck looking at these MPG threads. Lol
Mpgs shoot up on highway, usually 18-22. So I average about 15.5 when I do my math at the gas station.

 

2021 sport v6 auto 4x4 stock , mix city streets and highway average according to the truck 23.4 mpg I live in AZ.

 

Mine dutifully says 385 miles to E after every fill up. I can, however, only go about 300 miles.

 

I average 19mpg and get around 380 miles a tank with 265/75r16 Wildpeaks and sliders.

 

"According to the truck" is maybe a number that should be confirmed. How many gallons do you pump at fill ups? How many miles between fill ups? Do the math! I have owned three 4x4, automatic, V-6 Tacomas and none did better in mixed city/highway than 17 mpg.

 

How did you like your 3 3rd gen 3.5L V6 Tacomas?

 

Not a chance to put up with that engine! 2001 was a 3.4, 2005 and 2010 were the 4.0, a most awesome motor!

 

new 21' TRD sport (stock) been driving non stop im getting about 380 a tank here in NE ohio

 

Thought I'd update after last week's trip, had to go to S.C. for work, 2022 miles round trip, displayed MPG stayed within 0.1 of hand calculated. Low tank MPG was 23.7, high was 24.8. I wasn't running easy, used cruise control most of the way, avg speeds around 75 mph. Miles per tank is in the 420 range now.

 

Usually 385-415 miles until empty when I fill up. I usually fill up at 1/4 tank and 310-340 on the trip odometer. I usually get 21 mpg during the winter and 23-24 during the summer. Wind direction and speed can make a big difference in mpgs. Going westward on I-70 in Utah (rolling terrain) at 70 mph I was getting around 19 mpg but coming back eastward the mpg was around 24 at 70-75 mph. Basically a stock OR with an ARE MX cap. Only mod is a RCI skid plate.

 

I average right around 20mpg 50/50 city highway driving

 

so i am completely unable to locate this app on the app store. i can find the developer's website, which has a link to the app's page on Apple's app store preview web page. but a search on the app store itself for "road trip" or "road trip mpg" won't bring it up. the app store preview web page tells me i can only get the app at the app store, but provides no link to it.

fuggin Apple.

 

For those who have larger dia tires, are the numbers you are reporting calculated adjusted for the larger wheels.?

 

I did a search in the App Store and Road Trip MPG came right up for $6.99
