One time I glued together a huge scale model of the Millennium Falcon. You know, plastic cement and everything. I didn’t do a great job because my fine detail skills and general patience were severely lacking. But my friend and I had a cool idea. We cut up like 400 match heads and lit them on the top of the ship to incur battle damage. Holy Shit that smoke felt bad in my middle school lungs. We’d also stolen some sodium chloride from our science teacher and wanted to make a bomb. It’s apparently illegal to do some of those things but we didn’t really know the specific ordinances we’d be violating. We ended up not using the sodium chloride on the Falcon because:

    A. Our lungs hurt from the match head fumes
    B. The Falcon looked really cool with the battle damage we HAD inflicted upon it
    C. My mom came home early.

Oh yeah, and my dad found the sodium chloride later in the month and confiscated it. He was disappointed in me.

Just get a tune done and keep the CAT. Will be more noticeable than removing a CAT.

The OP asked for opinions! :D I personally prefer breathing clean air. So people, like me, require cleaner burning vehicles, not the government. :bananadance:

Cutting of the cats for more power is akin to taking off your underwear to run faster.

Yeh the availability of tuning really should discount the need to remove a CAT. Keeps the air better for all.

Years ago I got pulled over in my mustang, which I removed the cats from, and had a cop walk up to my car with a mirror on a stick. He started to check for cats but I had luckily just passed an emissions test a few days prior (without my cats on lol) and gave him that. Prick said he remembered seeing my drive away a few days ago and was waiting to see me again to pull me over.

Moral of the story is that if you live an area that does emissions testing you might get a cop that actually cares.

To be honest, it makes me LOOK faster when I do this. Also, speaking of the benefits of removing requisite parts and adjusting the spatiotemporal aspects of life, when I graduated high school, a classmate, Skip, was the only guy that got arrested. He wrote the year of our lord on his butt cheeks in black and wore a green thong, and he pulled his pants down as he was walking down the aisle to get his diploma. The Asst. principal and the on-duty sheriff's deputy, who wore shorts when he was on campus, which isn't relevant but always made him look a little silly, nabbed him in like ten seconds, and Skip didn't get to go to grad night. But man, it sure made the event go faster to have Skip remove a key piece of equipment.

Based off valuable feedback from those who have done this already I've made my decision. As for the "Catalytic Karens" and others with absolutely useless feedback, thanks for nothing.
