Bear is a gorgeous dog. I would hate for him to sneak up on me at night. I think as dog owners we all end up having one great dog that others will never be like.

    Yeah.
I dunno, I think they are kind of like your kids. You love them all the same, but they are all different. We've always had multiple dogs, and they are all special in their own way.

Charlie has made it home! Lots of work ahead of us but so far he’s a very happy pup.

He’ll grow into the bed I guess!

Well said. I've had some good ones, some crazy ones, and some goofy ones but none of them have been bad. It's all about how you treat them and train them.

I'm a firm believer in there is no such thing as a bad dog, only bad owners. Sure some have some quirks, some are mischievous. But bad? I don't think so.

I lost my best friend today, and my family and I are devastated. I adopted an unruly, aggressive dog that had a rough start to his life. He had been found chained in a yard with his ears eaten by flies. The rescue couldnt find him a home because of his temperament so he lived in a cage @ the rescue. Once I met him I knew he was coming home with me. He didn't make the last 12 years easy, but he was honestly the greatest companion and loved my wife and I unlike any dog I have ever had. Im so sorry for your loss. I’m sure you made a real difference in his life both physically and emotionally and for that you should be commended. Sometimes the challenges faced in life define us more than we know and I’m sure you are a better human being for helping him throughout his life. Sending prayers out to you and your family.
