Not telling you what to do on your own truck, but offering some truth where it's missing: As far as being legal (if you care about that) It doesn't matter if there are two catalytic converters left on the truck, it's still illegal (USA). The EPA requirement is that the exhaust system is to be left intact as designed, any change that doesn't include returning it to stock condition (either factory OEM parts or aftermarket designed to the same spec) I live in a state that has no vehicle inspection not even an emmisions test, so it would be fairly safe to hack the exhaust here if I wanted to...today but who knows whats coming in the next year or two with the fossil fuel Naxis turned loose. Something to think about.

Oh the days of my youth. Good thing I'm old enough that they couldn't figure out "who done it". I'm a USA loving citizen and not a terrorist yet I probably would have been labeled as such (except all the carp in the park lake that were killed with a homemade depth charge) :D. We won't even talk about what can be done with a quart of mercury and a school plumbing system. I actually went in myself and confessed to the principle. I pushed a broom for a month as punishment after school.

As far as the catalytic converter: I'm wondering that even though there's no sensor on it, the exhaust systems and engines are tuned expecting a certain about of back pressure. If you disturb that you might not get the increase in performance you think. You would have to scientifically dyno a before and after measurement to make sure it had a positive outcome. It wouldn't be worth "guessing" that you have gobs of extra horsepower. How often to you floor it and need to squeeze a touch more power out of it?

I’m betting the OP is Millennial. “I want what I want!” Or the ever-relavent “I watched a YouTube video so now I know way more then the Engineers who designed my truck!”

Whatever happens I just hope it ends-up on the ‘Gram

I have one of those in my backyard. Comes running whenever she hears my garage door open. Treats and verbal warnings to avoid the bait traps in my yard generally follow.

When you don't know what Millennial means, but you just know you want to use it pejoratively

RHCP is peak Millennial, shit I have merch from their concerts. Do people think Millennials are constantly just 20 years old lmao

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
The issue you are running into here (you have under 100 posts so I'm assuming you're semi-new) is that TW has a fairly strict Code of Conduct in which discussing illegal modifications is not allowed. "Discussions, links, pictures and videos of illegal activities are not permitted on Tacoma World."

Most people on here will comment and move on without a second thought, but many will hold you to it. That's the reason for the negativity you're getting from some.

Oh, and personal attacks aren't allowed either so watch the name calling. "Personal attacks or threats against other members will not be tolerated and generally results in expulsion from the site."

    Boosted Money Pit....
unless you are going all-in on a N/A motor or are boosted likely won't get much out of it. I am considering it with a boosted engine, the truck needs better airflow big time. Will be going with shorty headers (still with the cat) not as good as full headers but will get some benefit and likely will delete the rear 2 and yes understand the CA stuff but will have a stock cat or a backup available.
