Does anyone else have problems with their seat belt locking all the time?
Mine locks if I'm driving on anything but perfectly smooth and level pavement. It kind of sucks, especially off road if I need to move around to see stuff...I've been having to just buckle the damn thing behind me.

    That is actually a feature.

You can turn the seat belt chime off with the Carista app, TechStream, or remove the speaker.

think OP is talking about if you make a quick move the belt locks and that is annoying.

Yes, but it was noted in an off road sense. I will take mine off when trying to hang out the side window. Not hearing bongs while doing that is nice.

Some seat belts will lock easier than others. The pendulum inside might not be aligned, esp if the suspension is leaned due to mods or other issues.

I’ve not had this issue and my truck see’s frequent off-road use. My older Toyota truck does however.

It's bone stock right now, but I doubt I'd get anywhere talking to the dealer about it so I guess I'm stuck with not using it when I'm off road.
I do like having it on though for sketchier trails and especially for some of these fire roads since people regularly fly around switchbacks and blind corners on the wrong side of the road around here.

Sometimes this thing locks me down so tight it's like I've got a 5 point harness on and I can't even reach my radio o_O

    Yeah.
Maybe try adjusting the shoulder height? Other than that, less coffee/energy drinks, move slowly and deliberately.

Yup. That how our passenger seat belt is. I have a pendulum from a Dodge seat belt (unknown supplier) at home. It is very sensitive to tipping and locking.

Even stock, things could be off just enough to cause it to be very sensitive. Tolerance build up and such.

We have the same issue here with blind switchbacks.

I tried that, different seat heats, different shoulder heights...nothing helps. It's not me moving around in the seat causing it, it's the road...even locks up on small speed bumps and my driveway which isn't steep at all....I can only drive so slow lol.

Toyotas and Fords are both annoying about that. Most of the time it's not too bad, but they do like to snag every now and then.

I would at least let the Dealer take a look at it. I regularly take my Taco on light-moderate 4wd trails and very rarely have the seat belt lock on me.
