Ah so that metal tab also helps retain the contact. The tabs on the zzp are smaller than the stock bousch

It makes a nice click when installed and you press on the part that looks like a metal bar to release. Never tried the stock plug but this one fit so perfectly that I never gave it a second thought.

I wired it up to my relay box and tested it with the old pump then installed the new pump followed by demoing the stock wiring setup.

Cross member in for the anti-wrap bar. Just waiting on the kit to build the bar now. Gotta put the power from the new gears to the ground

Did have to kink the pipe before the muffler a bit but it was already smashed some from rubicon a few years ago

Just started the truck after installing headers. I think the passenger side has a leak. Not sure what caused it, aside from me being retarded. thinking of loosening it up an adjusting the gasket. Any thoughts?

Id look at the ypipe to header connection first. Feel for exhaust air. Those gaskets have to be positioned just right to work properly.

Hey fellas. Anyone in SoCal area (I’m in Costa Mesa), willing to help/show me how to pull the pulley and throw on a quick change hub and a 2.8? I don’t have any of the tools and usually am better at in person learning haha. I can provide funds, beers, pizza, wings, naked “people” (can’t be gender bias these days) or whatever you like. Thanks in advance. Happy Monday.

Is it worth getting Stainless pipe for exhaust or just going with some mandrel steel that coated? Def makes a cost difference but some of the items I am debating.

V-bands yay or nay? Makes sense to go with it if I'm doing the whole thing.

    so far

DT Shorties to Y to 3" merge after Y with flex pipe back to black Widow Venom

so determine the material - id like to color coat it so less concerned with shiny bling but looking at benefits to going with stainless.

Anything else I should consider? I prob won't know if I need a resonator or not until it's all hooked up.

I thought that was it initially, so went ahead and changed it but, it's definitely not that connection. It's coming from the block/header connection. I went through and tighten everything again, everything was good...

I have the tools if you want to borrow/rent them. If you still need help, i can probably swing by on the weekend to assist such.. In Irvine but my tools are in Anaheim ‍but a short trip may solve that :turtleride:

Looking for recommendations on shops who know supercharged 4.0’s.

I’ve spent some time trolling through a lot of these pages but haven’t seen anything definitive.

I’m looking for a solid shop to help diagnose some mechanical issues and ultimately do some loaded dyno tuning. I can’t seem to find anyone well-versed and comfortable enough to leave the truck with so they can help work out what I believe may be some mechanical issues related to fuel or even sensors.

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
I'm gonna suggest adding more muffler/resonators. Unless you like it loud. With the 3" cat back on mine and a hi flow cat, resonator, and 22" magnaflow it is still too loud. I have Long tubes vs your shorties which will help you out but I think it may still be too much for daily driving duties. I only have minimal experience with V bands, mine leaks some but that is probably my fault.

What is a good 3” resonator to use with the 3” URD mark lll exhaust. Also, (excuse my ignorance) where is the optimal spot for the resonator? Right after the y-pipe or just before the muffler? Ive never ran a resonator myself. I’m now looking at installing one due to the HORRIBLE HORRIBLE........ HORRIBLE rasp I’m now suddenly experiencing since my install of my longtubes and my URD tcai.
    Current setup:
    URD tcai
65mm URD throttle body spacer with 65mm 4runner throttle body
    URD long tubes
    JFR y-pipe
URD mark lll catback with a stainless works muffler
I initially thought the rasp was from the tcai......it still can be I guess.
However, while driving it sounds like it’s coming from underneath the passenger side like by where the ypipe meets the catback.

Would you say that it is more of a buzzing? Or is a real rasp? Do you have cam gears installed?

If its the buzzing that happens during certain rpm's then I think your expectations need to be that a resonator, even the Ultra quiet variety from Vibrant will only slightly help, but not eliminate it. First off, I would double check that you don't have an exhaust leak from a connection or the flexible connection after the merge. I have my resonator just before the end of the tailpipe, and I think it works well there. The SW muffler you have is chambered and should be helping cancel some of those tones out. The Vibrant resonator is really just a small volume glasspack, If I were to spend money on it again, I would just install a longer straight through muffler like a magna flow or a zzp. This would be in addition to the setup you already have.

How's the tone from the tailpipe?

I would suggest a HP tuner and @JustDSM can road tune it. Not a shop but can be very helpful is troubleshooting.
