Ok, I installed new bolts back on March 1, 2020....basically 14 months ago and used anti-seize on them. Just some surface gunk. Wiped them down, scrubbed with a wire brush to clean the threads.
I used anti-seize on the back 4 and thought I'd see if using a marine grease on a couple of them (closest to the cab) would produce difference results. I pull them out again in another year and see what we find out lol.

Busy weekend. Added a sway bar relocation kit from Toytec and found the "Clunk" was a loose sway bar end link. Added grease to my SPC UCA which were a little low and also could have been the sound. Tried to spray my Daraks with Slip but the aerosol decided it didn't want to work after half the first leaf pack so I ordered another one. Then cleaned my throttle body which was much needed! I used almost a full can of TBC and had to take the whole thing off to really get into it. My truck didn't know where to idle after that either. Started at 2000 rpm then after I drove around the block 1500. then after about 2 miles it calmed down.

Well it's been awhile with the bed caps and yea the powedercoating isnt good at all. Looks more like paint than powder coat. After moving some lumber around, the coating wore off pretty much right away.

Installed my Scene Pods (Camping Lights) on my UptopOverland Bravo Rack. Tried some night time photography with my phone, should've used my DSLR though.

Cleaned MAF and throttle body. The TB looked like the last time it was cleaned was about two thousand and never, which is in fact almost certainly the case. Found some acorns in the filter housing, more motivation to get around to the cowl snorkel mod.

Gave the exterior/suspension/undercarriage a two beer soapy powerwash and general inspection, and took some photos of completed headlight harness install to add to my wiring overhaul thread.

That's a pretty clean install on the switches, nice job. You make that insert yourself?

My throttle body was the same way. SO MUCH OIL!! I am thinking I'm going to put a catch can in my system to keep it out of the intake. I want to take the whole intake manifold off now and give that a good cleaning also.

I replaced the vinyl wrap on my roof from a matte black to a dark metallic blue, to match my stock paint more.
No one noticed I had matte black up there and more so now, no one will notice the blue. It's a little lighter then the BRM color. It's lighter than black and gloss so less heat. I wrap my roof and hood to protect the paint from the salt from my kayaks when I carry them.

Also, this past weekend I replaced an O2 sensor on my 2003 Tacoma (threw a code) and finally found where my front end squeaks on my 2014 Tacoma was coming from. It was the bushing from my TC UCA's. So greased them up and no squeak. Man, so happy I found that, haha.

Shout out to ARB for standing by their products and sending me a whole new rear shock!!!

Other than stripping the old bolt, easy breezy.

    No more clunk!

ARB is a great company always standing by their products. I know someone else who had a rear shock start leaking (he bought them second hand) and ARB shipped him a new one free without many questions.
