    Good point.

I'll watch Jason make all the rips while I sit back and drink a beer.

Well this is going to be fun... 12' beams have been acquired and they are drying out some in the garage. They have been outside so some of them are quite heavy with being soaked.
    They are actual 4" x 8" x 12', so I'll need to turn them into two 3.5" x 3.5" plus the scraps.

It needs to look pretty nice since they will be be turned into a "budget" pergola for the girlfriend. I gave up on trying to find 4x4's in 10 feet long and these popped up on Facebook.

Well... at least it's not an outdoor pergola and not, like, a kitchen table. No need for perfect finishes there. Is the 3.5" (instead of 4" actual) size even that important?

Yes, since we bought some metal feet to make it freestanding (and avoid any necessary permits). Said metal feet are 3.5" inside dimensions.

I could buy a nice chisel and just whittle down the ends to fit into the feet... Or I could just cut down the wood.

Thanks to toytec's customer service and @Chadr7858 letting me use his garage I got it back up and running.

Hopefully the 2.5 will be a little more robust for my needs.

I just wanted to stop in and say "overland" and "tailgate decals" since everyone with a Tacoma has to once a day.

I didn't know what a tailgate decal was, so I Googled. This was the first image result. I'm not sorry at all and now I want one.

You can swing by and use mine this Saturday, I have roller stands to.
Plus, safety is an after thought for me

Just do a 2" cut, nail board to the side you cut at each end, flip it and cut the other side. Will take no time at all.

    Edited because commas are magic

Don't anybody confuse that wheelie-stool propellant canister for a safety device.

I’ll booked this weekend and the wood should dry out a bit more for ease of moving around.. but that sounds like a potential plan... you’re a bit closer than @Madjik_Man ... I think. His offer is generous, so even if I don’t take him up on his offer, I’ll buy him a burrito from Efrains...
