Depends on whether there really is that many synthetic shorts and whether the SEC will force the DTCC to actually do something with the new rules. I've said this before but retail is playing a game with the smartest guys in the room. Not only are they smart. They are also connected. They don't like to lose and will pull out all the tricks not to. Including tricks that retail hasn't even figured out exist yet. Somebody is laughing all the way to the bank and it's currently not retail. lol

They weren’t very smart, and not the same situation. I’m not predicting they will win, I’ve just believed they have a plan, they aren’t simply buying time while they collect money to pay us all 10,000/share

 

Worked out just fine. They declared bankruptcy. Skilling went to jail for 12 years and Lay died of a heart attack before being sentenced. Arthur Anderson went tits up but was found not guilty by the Supreme Court on the appeal to the original verdict.

 

Maybe it's just me, but no amount of money in the world is worth going to jail for 12 years.

They also screwed with CA's power grid for a year, cost thousands of people their pensions and benefits, and bilked billions of dollars from investors all over the world.
