Good afternoon guys, kind of at a crossroads lol Dealer is offering me $39K for my '19 OR. I am really tempted to sell it and buy a daily at least until the tacoma market settles down and then probably purchase another taco. Selling it would put tons of cash in my pocket every month. Thoughts? Would you guys do it?

A dealer will never buy your truck to help you out or anything else. They are not your friend and are 100% trying to make as much money as possible.

 

Most definitely. As the saying goes, "the dealership never loses". I paid $33K originally for the truck back in the summer of 19. The dealership is called Texas Auto Value in Addison,TX. I've read some reviews on them and they seem pretty legit.

 

If you can live without a truck for at least two years, then yep, go for it.

 

Ordered new suspension last night!!!! Dobinsons all the way around. With icon ad a leaf... also waiting on victory 4x4 to ship my roof rack! Can't wait to get these spacers and blocks off. Rides like shit right now. Feeling like things are coming together. Next is a 12v fridge and fridge slider!

 

Finally had the virtual assessment of damage for the insurance claim on the 4R. The first words out his mouth were, “Wow. Um, where to start....”

So... his initial thoughts were total loss.

Picked up a Tacoma over the weekend. 2000 4x4, 5 speed, bucket seats, manual hubs, with 91k miles. Drove it 1600 miles home without issue. Nothing crazy planned for it since it will be my daily while my 4runner is a garage queen. Bigger tires, tint, seat covers and a few small odds n ends.
