What do you do for work?

Forest Ranger for my province and my 16 year old, 300k Tacoma has been very good to me! Next up 2023 Tacoma! My job has a lot of variety from trapping bears, harvesting wood, fighting forest fires (all over the world) and everything in between

Thirty-three years in the classroom. Two phrases that should never be said in the same sentence: "sixty years of age and classroom teacher". Those were uttered 17 years ago when I retired at 59. As I've stated many times since, " I miss the kids, coaching (basketball, track, and cross country) ,and some of the adults, but grading papers-not at all". I would love to do it all again, but maybe not the way things seem to be now, and I would have to have a heck of a lot more stamina than I do currently.

Haha, not a designer! I was an A&P mechanic, and flight test crew for five years, now I write work instructions and make sure design doesn’t mess things up. I’m the guy that tells design engineers whether technicians will hate them or not. Haha.

I'm a mercury certified boat mechanic. Best part is... I hate the water

 

I spent 4 years in the Coast Guard and hate the ocean.

 

I do stuff and go places.

 

I'm a product designer for a software company. Tech bro / weekend warrior

 

Video engineer, camera operator, studio lighting design/programming. 16 years and counting.

 

I'm a wastewater treatment plant operator on the small scale. We only treat approx. .7-.8 MGD. I do a little bit of everything from painting, mowing, solids handling, pulling pumps for service, to general vehicle service for the district. About 23 years and counting here.

 

I'm the 'ATF Compliance Officer' for a gun shop.

It's a ton of paperwork and I have to deal with ATF agents regularly but I get sweet discounts on guns etc. so I like it.

 

I've been curious so for those that don't mind sharing, i'd like to know what my fellow members did (retired) or do for a living.
I don't think i've seen a similar thread here yet so i'll go first for those that want to join in

Occupation: Export Logistics Manager (Recycling/waste paper)
Side hustle: Reselling shoes (I have sneaker bots that i use to buy shoes for retail, and resell for profit on platforms like StockX and Goat)
Hobbies: Weight lifting, going to the beach, buying shoes (it's a thrill tbh b/c most of the ones i buy are limited), and poker with friends next to a BBQ


For the record, i respect all types of jobs so i hope everyone else could do the same.
(Unless someone's been stealing cats for a quick flip then it's a different story)

Side hustle: repair/service lawn mowers or anything that uses petro with my 16 year old been getting into electric mower and trimmer repairs as well. Also mow grass… and most importantly help others if I can…. Nothing makes ya feel better than that
