Little of this, little of that.
It took about 2-2.5 hours per door/wall (5 parts total) so I figured I’m in it about 12 hours so far haha. I would recommend doing a piece at a time, start to finish.

Are you only doing foam or are you doing a dampening layer as well?

I’ve actually noticed a HUGE difference so far, for me it’s well worth it. I can’t wait to have more done honestly. I think I would recommend this mod to anyone in any vehicle lol.

I used the OEM on my 2017 Dual Cab short bed. Yes the description says "extra long wheelbase" but this is the correct one. Go with the OEM one.

    Part Number - PK3B6-35JS0
Part Name - Tailgate Lock, Remote, Extra Long Wheelbase
    Price - $129.71

May sound like a stupid question, but i looked at the Amazon link and says short bed or Excab. Does anyone know if there enough wiring to work on a DCLB? And if not would the tundra one work?

They have SB and LB configurations on BAM but I don't know about on Amazon. I couldn't give you an answer on the tundra but I would say probably not. The part number on my DCSB part is PK3B6-35JS0. I had maybe 4-6" extra so definitely not enough to fit the extra 12" on the LB. The part number for the LB is PK3B6-35JL0

What I did to my Tacoma today was wait 40 minutes in line to fill up. 1st gas purchased since January (still had 1/4 tank of winter grade in it). Been so long that there was a wasp nest hanging over my gas cap. All 6 lines at Sams Club had at least 20 cars per line.

I think it's hitting us here in central FL too. One gas station I passed was closed down, and the one I went to had unusually long lines. Good think I just needed to top off one vehicle.

Yeah, I found that pretty funny.

I just use the dyson v8 when I go to my parents house, ha! I drive my truck on weekends only, unless I’m off, so it stays pretty clean on the inside.

Happening here, too. I live in middle of nowhere with 2 main gas stations. One station is already empty. The other is only allowing people to get $20 worth of fuel.

I am in Chesapeake so just a stones throw from you. Have some Nixon relatives there. My mother-in-law drove down to our place on the Space Coast of Florida. Hope the gas mess is cleared up before she drives back next week. News talks like this should be fixed in a week. I know my Sams Club has no premium at their pumps.

I'm sure I know your relatives. Probably went to school with some. I live right down the road from Rocky Hock. Right now, panic buying is driving shortages. I read where fuel sales were up over 40% from a week ago. Saying it should be over by the end of the week.

My Dad was born in an old house on the river in Rocky Hock in the mid 30's. Used to spend a lot of time at the beach in Rocky Hock. I even remember the hot beach scene in Colerain (yes I am old). I actually went to Roanoke Chowan Tech in the 70's for auto tech. My favorite cousin in Rocky Hock is Jerry (still jammin his Les Paul in his 70's). Dad's cousin owned the famous restaurant.

Small world. There is still a "hot" beach scene in Colerain, kinda. I know of Jerry. I know Murray, Leon, and Earl (queue the banjo music). I went to school with their kids. I had some of the best fried chicken from that restaurant. Drop me a PM the next time you're in the area and we can grab a drink.

Added leather seat covers to my 2018. These are the Alea covers that I purchased on eBay. Not bad for $599. I removed the old cloth material which was black w inferno red stitching and recovered with the leather ones. I used zip ties in place of hog rings to get deeper pleats.

Overall I love them. Only complaint is that the covers do not come with the rear access cord and the headrest pre cutout. I had to cut them myself. Other than that they look and feel factory.

I also installed seat warmers which work very well in the winter.

They’re actually the ones from my 2012 Tundra. They fit perfectly and seem a bit more stout than the Tacoma ones. That may just be my perception though. - RH01
