    Well you were close. No vacations but they gave everyone a dollar. So that's nice. A24D8426-80E4-44E7-8171-34DF1B923397.jpg

    They pretty much patted us on the back for working so many hours and making a whole lot of money. And then they talked about all the expansion plans and whatnot for the other sawmills that didn't affect us really. But overall a positive meeting.

    Well atleast they gave you something!

    We went through a similar experience a while back. Told we were going to get a significant raise. Well it came through last week and at my tech level it was indeed significant. Not allowed to talk amounts, but needless to say it helps out. If I manage to get my next tech level this year that'll be even more.. More money for project cars!

    That's awesome! I only say the amount since they announced it to the entire dayshift and nightshift as a big group. Not exactly private "in confidence"

    Only reason I can't say the amount is I work for a pretty big corporation and alot know who I work for. Falls along the social media guidelines I'm pretty sure. Also got lucky and grandfathered in on the pension plan. If I stay there 20 year, I'm out. Lol.

    Agreed. It's like a polite version of rude that's socially acceptable.

    @Plain Jane Taco , I can have a green yard too :D

    [/QUOTE]

    Not bad. Those damn evergreens acidify the soil to the point that grass won't grow under them....that and lack of sunshine
