Anyone running the NST lightweight pulley kit that comes with the alternator pulley? There are two kinds of OEM alternator pullies on Tacomas, but apparently the stock pulley varies by truck and its not consistent with having a factory installed tow package or not, so I'm wondering if the pulley is at least the same for all Bajas and Pros and if anyone has installed these on our trucks to know if they are all the same for us.

Got a question on lifts- essentially I installed a set of Bilstein 6112's without measuring before and after height and things seem significantly lower. Bought my 2014 T/X Baja and it had a 1" Toytec Spacer on it ( ). That combined with the factory Bilstein shock that gives 1" of lift should've meant the front was 2" higher than stock?

I got the Bilstein 6112's and set them on circlip #4 on both sides which the Bilstein page says gives 2.15" lift on 4x4's. The whole front seems lower now because the roofline used to be eye-level on me and now it seems like 2" lower and it's less of a step up into the truck. Is there anything else that could've accounted for this difference in height? Circlip #5 would be 2.46" and I feel like the difference is more than that. I've only driven it about ten miles since the install and feel like it'll only settle more which is why I'm a little concerned.

If I were to go for Circlip #5, how much harsher would the ride be with the extra bit of preload on the spring? Not sure if that .3" difference would be noticeable or just in my head.

21" hub to fender in the front and 24" in the rear with Dakar Medium Duty springs and bilstein 5100's

Not sure on your issue other than with the Baja stock suspension and the toytec 1” spacer would’ve yielded you at 2.75” in front. I’d re-adjust the new ones (knowing it probably will be a little harsher) to 3” or below.

How'd you get the 2.75" number for the previous suspension setup? Was stock Baja suspension 1.75" over normal? I thought it was just an inch higher.

The new Bilsteins are adjusted to 2.15" of lift now. If I want to go up to the max 2.45", I'd have to pull the shock off the truck and bust out the spring compressors, right?

Yes the Baja/pro suspension from the 2nd gen is 1.75” over stock. Not sure on how to adjust the 6112’s as I’ve never had them. Another thing you can do. If all you can get out of the 6112’s is 2.45”. You can set them to 2” or 2.15” then put a 1/4” top plate on them with extended hardware. The 1/4” top plates will give you .5” in added height.
Edit.....or set them to 2.5 and do the above to get you to 3”

Ah okay, I did not realize Bajas came a full 1.75" higher than factory. Moving in a week and have an alignment scheduled on tuesday so wondering if I could get 1/4 top plates in time.... Thank you very much for your help
