    While the logic of polishing a quartz countertop seems to be sound, the products used in auto detailing are not typically food safe, so you's have to do some research on that.

    When quartz countertops are joined together in a house, they are glued, sanded, and polished so they become less visible to the eye, so it seems reasonable that polishing them in a similar way as auto paint would work. Quartz is very hard compared to paint, so I think you'd have to use a cutting compound and pad combo that is very aggressive, and work your way thru finer grits.

    On Meguiars forum there're some members who uses Meguiars compound, polishes to polish out their marble counter tops.

    A quick Google search will bring the threads up.
