And, I just got some great news! Actually SPOKE with the missing mechanic who has had my truck - - and it is being finished TODAY sometime. Why has it been sitting? Well, my guess was correct. He had Covid (right in the middle of tearing truck apart), was hospitalized, and just OK'd to come back today. Got it from his mother, who gave it to the whole family. MIL is still in the hospital. So, "family illness" like the message said - "emergency" like the first message said. Wife says we're taking a can of Lysol when I get it!

And it's crazy, most of these small towns in South, no one wears the mask anymore, lol, like it hasn't gone away... I have a neighbor who got it last week, whooped his ass and he is still hurting, I reminded him that it's not a hoax that he believed, he was one of those drinking the social media kool-aid, that if you get it, your down for a day or two and back to normal, I bet he wished he took this shit more serious and maybe had gotten the vaccine too.

 

I guess his shop is cleaner than the family house! He wears a mask, and the shop is sanitized, even down to the "honey pot". Guess Mama is a wild woman!

Yes you should take is seriously, but you’ve also got to take into account that everybody’s different.
I got it and had zero symptoms, my father-in-law got it and had cold like symptoms for two days and that was it. My mother/sister-in-laws both got it and ended up in the hospital and on oxygen for a couple of weeks after.
Kool-aid comes in multiple flavours.
Sounds like his might have been the “microchip in the vaccine” kind

Great news Kurt! Glad you're getting your truck back and good to hear mechanics family is doing well.

Yup, everyone is different, luckily no one in my family has gotten it but we had taken it pretty seriously from the start and all immediate family members have been vaccinated. I respect everyone's decision, whatever they think is best for them. I have a coworker whose been out for about 6 months now. In the Hospital for about a month or a little more. Then had to carry around an oxygen tank. His lungs are still not 100% and they probably will never be, again a nonbeliever from the beginning. Yes we will all die of something but you do have some control, and the whole microchip thing, if you have a cell phone, credit card, anything electronic you're already microchiped

Sad day here one of our bus drivers a good friend of mine passed away today he had a massive heart attack while on his route and hit two parked cars he didn't make it he was pronounced dead at the scene on a good note none of the students in the bus were injured they were just shooken up
