you don’t need a tanker endorsement or hazmat to transport 1 IBC of class 3 goods. Tanker endorsement is only required for transporting 1000gal or more.

should the guy be doing it; absolutely not. It is illegal, no.

Possible but improbable from my side of the "cyber" fence. What I find really sad is they are a 500M profit company but scuttlebutt is their IT team consisted of 3 total staff and while they segregated the IT from OT with a firewall it was a Cisco ASA which grew out of favor years ago in the enterprise market.

Interesting that he is putting gas instead of diesel/kerosene in his farming equipment…..

Intrastate NC must be more relaxed than federal rules then. Even an empty tote not cleaned out gets UN placards federally and absolutely has to have a haz endorsement. Learned something new today

I wouldn't take the information you learn here as gospel.

correct. I was going to make a long post but I deleted it.

I do this for a living and regularly work with DG tankers and DG shipments both domestic and internationally (sea and air). I’m also IATA DG certified. But I won’t argue over it.

Oh I'm not saying you specifically were wrong on this specific issue. Just that there are a lot of folks on here in general who make very confident statements that are not always true.

I did top off the Lexus yesterday because 14mpg. But between that, the SilveRAYdo (16mpg) and the Miata (26mpg), I should have enough gas in one of them to last thru this nonsense.

I wouldn’t have thought there were so many hazmat employees in here.

Im also IATA and 49CFR certified, I work in Compliance and Regulatory for a medical supply company though we ship in non-bulk quantities so I’ve got nothing to add to the placarding discussion. I will say these people hoarding gas are fucking assholes. Don’t need an official certification to confirm that.

(Puts Adam Smith hat on) if they would let the supply and demand set prices you would all but eliminate hoarding.(takes Adam Smith hat off)

It’s real bad out there! All 5 gas stations I passed today were out of gas.

report to the price gouging hotline

How to report price gouging in North Carolina. You can report high gas prices or price gouging by calling 1-877-5-NO-SCAM or by filing a complaint with the NCDOJ's office. The office will then review the complaints closely and possibly take action against a business.

    Fuck that guy.

He probably got death threats and had to go into hiding...was it some parking lot meet-up or did he give people his home address?

Or maybe he gave the address of his arch enemy or his ex (that would evil, but somewhat droll).

I’m web certified. Not really certified beyond anything more than talking out my ass though.
