Stock frame in front of the cab mount. I won't say "best" because it's too absolute but generally you want to cut the frame in front of the cab mount and build a new one that sits higher. That gets you more travel and lets you set the axle higher so you don't end up with 8-10" of lift

Yeah they are reclusive out here too. For some reason in TX we'd get them in the house all the time. I remember my sister stepped on one at night and screamed loud enough the neighbors called the cops

Scorpions are kind of dumb and only ended up in the house by accident. Tarantulas too. I pretty much would just trap them and move them outside. Brown recluses, centipedes, black widows and that one rattlesnake that was trying to get into my garage were ended asap.

I do kinda wonder how that steering box works though, the pitman angle looks bad and without leverage you'll just bend and crack the stupid stock frame

Damn really? What kind of boat?

Yeah my boat trailer is long overdue. I have no idea what state the bearings are in, I planned on doing em soon.

I just did the wheel bearings on the Nissan which is a whole lot of fun, which I had a press. I had to use big ass hammer instead.

whoa whoa whoa.. plated stock frame

but correct, it's is not uncommon to crack the frame where the steering box is mounted even with a plated frame. Running hydro assist will help that some

I have no idea, just some little POS, tire feel off when we were loading the bot back up.

Pulled it out of the water, lifted the trailer, out the tire back on the axle, loaded the boat, drove a mile down the road and left it and someone’s house.

My brother ran into my 04 bedside in September. Body shop had it fixed in October and I noticed a bit of deformation behind the passenger taillight. Didn’t think much of it.

I’ve been using the bed frequently this month since I’m moving and heard a crack the other day when unloading a heavy box. Looks like it’s cracking/bending under light loads. It won’t shut unless you force the tailgate forward back into place. Doubt the body shop will give a damn but USAA just might? It’s not like I’m loading 800 pound dirt bikes in the bed.
