Yeah I am not sure if that was even the worst of the 3. They said 2 were pretty bent and the 3rd was really bent. I contacted the seller and am doing the back and forth dance. I thought about contacting Vors directly just to see if they wanted to toss anything in but I figured they wouldn't care. I cant believe 3/4 were bent, I could see maybe 1 making it into a box bent but 3/4 is just mind blowing to me.

Does not bode well for that manufacturer. But with cheap china made products, there is always that chance. Most steel wheels are also made in China. But it's easier to stamp steel than cast aluminum.

Agreed I figured cheep imported wheel probably no chance I am getting a response. I sent them the link to the video and a message asking if there is anything they can do about it. I will keep this thread updated on the outcome. I can be the Guinee pig to see if the manufacturer is worth shaking a stick at or not. Completely sucks but at this point I am ready to eat the cost of these in anticipation Vors probably wont do anything and the seller is probably going to tell me to pound sand since I am just outside their return window. (30 days I contacted them on day 40 :annoyed: )

I bet they honor it since their profit margin must be huge and they pump these out like candy. Besides, negative thread on a popular forum will cost them more than replacing your wheels, I think

Company I ordered through reached out to Vors warranty department and got back the following.
TL;DR they are blaming the install shop for bending them during install of the tire.... which seems the most plausible. OR I bent them due to impact which isn't the case because they have barely been driven on and I would remember an impact big enough to go through 33's and bend 3 at one time. (they haven't been off pavement yet) They have been on the truck for 500ish miles 300 of which was a round trip to visit the in laws in one weekend and they were vibrating the whole trip.

We reached out to VORS warranty department and forwarded them the photos and one video you sent, and my rep from VORS finally got back to me.

Basically what he said is that it's impossible for x3 wheels to all be defective or out of round from factory at the same time.
One wheel being out of round makes sense at most very rare two, but for three wheels to be defective has never happened.

After reviewing the photos he clearly explained that the wheels were bent from impact. He said if it was shipping damage the customer or the technician would have noticed it upon opening the boxes and inspecting them.

If the both the buyer and the technician noticed the wheels were "bent" a month later. Then it seems more likely that the wheels were bent during the installation process, or through impact when driving.

Unfortunately VORS warranty does not cover damages caused due to accidents, damages through contact, or negligence during installation. He said the best they can do for you at this time if interested is give you a small discount on x3 new wheels if interested. Normally the tire shop that installed the wheels should help cover the cost of x3 new wheels.

Damn....very sorry to hear that! I’ve had to send back 2 sets of wheels (other manufactures) because of shipping damages. Luckily, I caught the damage before mounting.
My set of Vors luckily seem good....so far. Reading your post though does give me concern.

I don’t see how your wheels could of been damaged by discount tire (highly unlikely)! And yeah, that’d be freaking odd to get 3 defective wheels out of 5 from the manufacturer. Unless they were sent back to that eBay vendor from someone else who purchased them and just put back in stock.....and resold defective wheels which were noticed by the first buyer?
Maybe you’d have a case with eBay?

.....also wonder if those 3 damaged (bent) wheels could of been damaged during shipping at some point? (Either dropped or something heavy dropped on them catching the 3 wheels)? Would you possibly have a case with the shipping company?

But have they been vibrating from day one mounted? If it's occurred on down the line I could see where they'd have an argument. Seems silly though that they wouldn't warranty them since it's such a short window.

I'd imagine they'd get noticed as soon as they sat on the roadforce machine. :notsure:
Maybe I need to just have them throw the rims on without tires to see if they are out.

I'm just sweating it since @AStinkyBumb had 3 out of 4 fail. Thems not good odds. Last thing I want to do is eat ~$800 especially since I plan to Powdercoat them so more like ~$1400

Yeah for anyone picking up this thread, all the wheels seemed fine to me when I unboxed them upon receiving them. I am not a professional wheel inspector or have anything to put them on the see if they are out of round so I am at the will of the tire shops to tell me. They vibrated from the start after mounting at Belle Tire so I took them to Discount tire to have them road force balanced because they were the closest with a road force balancer. And also to get a second opinion on them. THAT is when they pointed out the wheels were bent because they had them on the road force balancer which pointed it out immediately. They still mounted up the tires and balanced them to cover their ass in the event one came loose on the road they weren't at fault. they were also able to get them balanced up to the 60mph tires are balanced at so they technically will ride fine on anything sub 60mph. The tech just threw it on the regular balancer for me when I picked them up to show me how bent they were (video)

I have seen cheep wheels come bent from the factory but the fact that they looked fine for me upon receiving them and then 3 of the 5 were bent makes me think the Belle Tire techs probably bent the piss out of them trying to fit the tire around the lip and hid the issue as to not get in trouble.

The wheel shop I bought them from has been in contact with me and Vors, Vors wont warranty any install or driving damage. They offered to sell me 3 new ones to replace the damaged 3 for $550. I am thinking about taking that offer since the whole set is worthless at this point unless I replace the 3 bent. Buying a new set of something else is gonna run me another $900+. I am going to have discount tire do road force balance from the get go and I am going to wait at the shop while they do it. If the wheels get on the balancer and are bent I am going to flip. If they aren't I would expect discount tire to do a better job at not damaging the wheels.

Edit: I just figured the vibration was bad balancing because RT 33's and also because I am working from home so I barely drive the truck.
