Does anyone have a pic of the volume adjustment on the "no knob" version?

What'd you do with your reverse camera? Did you run an aftermarket one? Or did you splice in your stock one with a voltage converter? I've been on the fence about getting this unit mostly because I don't feel like running new wiring for a camera.

Mine finally came in today. Might drive the truck to work tomorrow to install radio once I’m done with work

I did not do anything with that yet. I need to figure out these brackets and getting it all to sit flush in the dash. Yesterday I decided to take the mounting brackets off and just let it sit in the dash without physically being mounted bolted in and on some hard hits in the road it did wobble a little bit but didn’t come close at all to falling out. So def need to use the brackets but thinking I may need to drill new holes in the bracket somewhere.....where that is is a mystery lol. But I did see someone on YouTube show how he got his video to work and I don’t think he spliced in a voltage converter at all. Did something splicing into the wiring in the glove box.

I need to connect my camera to my head unit as well. There is a write up on here that explains how to piggy back off the factory signal. I'll post pics when I get to it. Either been working weekends or it's been raining it seems here lately

Im gonna grind off these parts of my 2015's mounting brackets and see what i can do. I firmly believe the top of the bracket this way is preventing me from being angled properly to let it sit into the dash correct.

Does anyone else's unit get SUPER hot really really fast? After about like 5-10mins of listening to music with only the 1 app open playing the music it gets super hot. I take the unit out of the dash and can barely touch the Main box with the internals in it due to being so hot. No exaggeration.

I never felt mine to see if it got hot or not. I'll check again when I pull mine out to remount my ham radio.

I was excited to order this until I realized you can't use the factory backup camera.

You can. There is a thread somewhere in the 2nd gen forums. I forgot to save it or I would share it.

Theres also a video of a guy on youtube who does it with a Joying Radio in a Tacoma. It can be done and not too hard if you can splice/tap into wires.

I've had this unit installed a couple months now and I'm pretty happy with it. Though I really hate that android auto has to be plugged in. I havnt set up my back up or front camera yet. Still hesitant since electrical is not my strongest area and I dont know where I'd put them yet. I for sure dont know all the features this has or how to use them haha

I tested the internal mic first and did not need to use the provided external mic. Callers hear me very well.

Do you remember where you found the specs? Mine only brought a piece of paper with a picture of the wiring harness.

Just installed the same head unit, pretty much plug and play. This video helped a lot with the backup camera, otherwise it would have been difficult for me. One note one the video, he mentions a Purple/white wire which in fact, in my unit, it was the Orange "Back" wire.

Something weird that happened. When my phone first connected and synchronized contacts, about 200 contacts were removed from my Google account. Good thing they were in the trash and found them on contacts.google.com. Google actually stated they were deleted by the head unit.
