RADAR CHECK: Rain is widespread early this morning over East and South Alabama, with heavier thunderstorms moving along the Gulf Coast. Rain will end later this morning, and the rest of the day looks mostly dry with only isolated showers through tonight. Clouds will linger through the day, and temperatures over the northern half of the state will be about 15 to 20 degrees below average for mid-May with highs only in the low to mid 60s.

TOMORROW THROUGH THE WEEKEND: Look for clearing sky tomorrow as dry air returns to the state, and we will be rain-free through the weekend with a warming trend. Look for sunny days, and fair nights Friday through the weekend. The high tomorrow will be close to 70, followed by mid 70s Friday, 80 degree warmth Saturday, and low 80s Sunday.

NEXT WEEK: Moist air returns to the state Monday, when a few isolated showers are possible, but the best chance of showers will remain a little west of Alabama. Then, for the rest of the week, the weather will be warm and humid with some risk of scattered showers and thunderstorms on a daily basis. HURRICANE ZETA UPGRADED: The National Hurricane Center upgraded Hurricane Zeta to a Category 3 storm in its post-season report released yesterday. Zeta made landfall on October 28 near Cocodrie, Louisiana. According to the NHC, Zeta weakened to a tropical storm before rapidly intensifying to a Category 3 storm just before hitting land. It’s the strongest storm to make landfall in the U.S. so late in the year.

ON THIS DATE IN 1959: An F3 tornado touched down just south of Bessemer and moved northward into Fairfield. The most intense damage occurred near the beginning where 3 houses were demolished. Twenty houses and numerous other buildings were also damaged. Many trees and power lines were blown down along the damage path.

ON THIS DATE IN 1997: A towering F1 tornado ripped its way through the middle of Miami, Biscayne Bay, and Miami Beach right after lunch Monday, smashing cars and windows, tossing trees skyward and scaring the dickens out of thousands of people.

 

Maybe im thinking about spring break crowd but its just gotten where ppl are having stuff stolen. People in the street. Cops pulling people over all the time. Tons of HS kids drinking and driving.

Yep! We usually eat there a couple of times. It's close to the house we always rent on Carondelette Dr

 

Sweet! Love there Steak and Brussel sprouts lol. Burgers are good too! Look up Tiki bar at sportsman's marina. Its a nice scene in the evening. They've got drinks and bar food. Its outside. We usually drive our golf cart over there in the evening.

 

Funny you mention the Tiki Bar because every year for the past 12 years we talk about going there but never do LOL! We'll make it a point this time

We're going to Carrabelle beach for our anniversary in June. We usually do Destin/Ft. Walton, but we've done that the last 10 years, so we're ready for a different view!

Really miss when it was like that.

Our senior pictures were taken at the Old Dutch on Thomas Drive before they tore it down. Allman Brothers and others used to play there in mid 60's before they were well known.

 

These knuckles are a little beefer than the originals and 4 more bolts shouldn't have any problems breaking

I know I haven't really been active the past week or so been doing some other stuff. Gotta get my sliders off the truck and sell them. New ones go on June 12.

 

You building some new sliders?

It's been a slow process needed to find the right guys and right products to go with. Been talking with a few companies and custom guys about different things. Found someone 15 min down the road from me. DCLB sliders gonna be cheap.

Yep I'm having some custom ones made to how I want them. After enough wheeling and situations I've paid close attention to where and what I'd like to change and am doing so.

 

Sweet! Yea I’ve kinda been eyeballing some rc sliders but not many manufacturers. What about all your jdfab stuff you acquired all the parts?
